Job Summary
The Assurance team at Forvis Mazars delivers independent, objective services that bring transparency and confidence to financial reporting. With deep industry knowledge and a proactive, communicative approach, we help clients navigate complex reporting requirements. This role involves performing detailed audit procedures, demonstrating a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and delivering exceptional client service. You will collaborate with client management, take ownership of tasks, utilize technology, and complete Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements to maintain technical proficiency and ensure high-quality outcomes.
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam, meeting educational requirements as defined by the applicable state board of accountancy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to travel for client engagements and internal meetings, including overnight stays
Good to Have
- Master's Degree in related field
- 1+ years of relevant audit experience
- Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
- Experience with Caseware software for financial reporting and audit documentation

What You Will Do:
- Perform detailed audit procedures over various income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the identification of discrepancies or risks
- Deliver exceptional client service that exceeds expectations through timely, unmatched support while cultivating strong relationships as a trusted advisor and partner in their success
- Collaborate proactively with key client management to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks by organizing workflows, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion within budget and scope to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes
- Utilize technology tools effectively and demonstrate a commitment to process improvement through innovation
- Complete Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements to maintain technical proficiency and industry knowledge
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
