Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for operating, maintaining, installing, repairing, and troubleshooting all site facilities systems, including HVAC, electrical, and process piping. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to trouble calls, and participating in emergency activities. The technician will work across various disciplines and maintain operating procedures, requiring strong technical and communication skills.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance and facility systems.
  • Operate, maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot all site facilities systems.
  • Perform PMs, corrective maintenance, and trouble calls across all specialties.
  • Work on boiler, chiller, and CDA preventive maintenance.
  • Apply technical skills in HVAC, electrical, process piping, mechanical, instrumentation, wastewater treatment, and UPW systems.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Ability to work off-shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • Respond to site emergencies after hours and weekends.
  • Medical surveillance FIT approved.
Good to have:
  • Effective communication and interaction skills.
  • Knowledge and operation of personal computers.
  • Understanding of industry and site equipment.

Job Details

General Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the Mechanical Maintenance field
  • Meets all compliance dates for calibrations
  • Operates, maintains, installs, repairs, and troubleshoots "all" site facilities systems.
  • Will work across "all" specialties/disciplines in performance of PMs, corrective maintenance, trouble calls, vendor interface,
  • Participates in technical training
  • Maintains and updates operating procedures.
  • Participates in emergency facilities activities, site wide.
  • Work on boiler preventive maintenance annuals.
  • Work on chiller preventive maintenance annuals.
  • Work on CDA preventative maintenance annuals
  • Capable of effective communication and interaction with the Mechanical Maintenance Team, Operations Group Leaders, , and all internal business partners
  • May be required to work at EB or OH Site if business conditions warrant

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to apply multiple technical skills in two or more of the following disciplines: HVAC, electrical, process piping, mechanical, instrumentation, wastewater treatment, and UPW systems.
  • Knowledge and operation of personal computers
  • Understanding of industry and site equipment.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to manipulate and control hand tools and equipment
  • Requires physical ability to work in temperature extremes
  • Requires physical ability to maneuver in tight locations effectively and safely
  • Requires physical ability to lift to 25 lbs.
  • Requires physical ability to work around or near chemicals or residues such as acids, solvents, oils, and grease
  • Will need to get medical surveillance FIT approved
  • Required to work off-shift, weekends, and holidays
  • 3-5 years’ experience with facility systems
  • Respond to site emergencies after hours and weekends
  • Requires Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Power Point skills
