As an Accountant at Aristocrat, you will play a crucial role in supporting our EMEA function, contributing to the financial integrity and profitability of the company. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and supervise the Accounts Payable department, ensuring accurate financial operations and compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing and ad hoc support to the Finance Manager
Supervise and support the AP department's daily operations
Review business trip settlements for accuracy
Perform settlement reconciliations, including intercompany transactions
Post bank statements and maintain fixed assets accounting
Issue sales invoices and manage other accounting entries (deposits, provisions, taxes)
Maintain accurate company documentation
Challenge existing processes to drive continuous improvement
Support external and internal audit processes
Assist in preparing annual financial statements
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure compliance with month-end, VAT, and other regulatory requirements
Contribute to ad hoc projects by providing financial insights
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting, group accounting, or audit
Fluent in English
Excellent knowledge of Excel and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft 365 Suite)
Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
In-depth knowledge of local GAAP in Poland (knowledge of IFRS is a plus)
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Exceptional technical accounting, reporting, and reconciliation skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
