Financial Controller

Lingokids is seeking a passionate Financial Controller to join their team and contribute to building the future of education through Playlearning™. This role involves managing GL accounting, leading consolidation across entities, building financial dashboards, ensuring tax compliance, and managing external audits and cash flow. The controller will also prepare monthly financial reports, perform variance analysis, act as a finance business partner to various teams, and support budgeting and forecasting. The position requires driving improvements in financial systems and implementing automation.

Must Have

• Manage GL accounting, responsible of accruals and cost allocations.
• Lead consolidation across entities, including handling international subsidiaries, inter-company eliminations and multi-currency reporting.
• Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into company performance, cash flow, and financial KPIs.
• Ensure full compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions, with a strong focus in the US.
• Manage external Audits, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
• Manage cash flow reporting.
• Prepare, reconcile and control Inter-company Transactions and support Transfer Pricing documentation.
• Manage R&D certifications, tax incentives, bonuses and related deductions.
• Oversee fixed assets accounting and CAPEX processes.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and perform variance analysis, providing insights on deviations and ad-hoc analytical deep dives.
• Act as finance business partner to content, product and engineering teams.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Deliver financial insights, scenario modeling and decision-support analysis to senior leadership.
• Drive improvements across financial systems, implementing automation and process optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in similar finance or controlling roles in fast-growing and international environments.
• Experience in accounting ERPs (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc).
• Proficiency with analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and data manipulation.
• Fluency in English for effective spoken and written communication.

Good to Have

• Experience with Business Central ERP is highly desirable.
• Desirable experience in FP&A tool such as Abacum.

Finance operations

• Drive improvements across financial systems, implementing automation and process optimization to increase accuracy and reduce manual work.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in similar finance or controlling roles in fast-growing and international environments.
• Experience in accounting ERPs (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc). Business Central is highly desirable
• Proficiency with analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and data manipulation.
• Desirable experience in FP&A tool such as Abacum
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a proactive and hands-on mindset.
