Eurofins The Maastricht Forensic Institute (Eurofins TMFI) is the Dutch branch of Eurofins Forensics, offering forensic services to the police, public prosecutor, and judiciary. Must Have
- Coordinate receipt, return, and transfer of items for forensic investigation, ensuring data integrity and research material throughout the case cycle.
- Analyze client details to determine the discipline and location for case investigation.
- Handle complex forensic inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face from teams, clients, and couriers.
- Prepare and send invoices.
- Process quotes, invoices, and inquiries from clients and suppliers in the financial system.
- Handle phone traffic, including forensic questions.
- Manage mail and package handling.
- Contribute to process improvements.
- Work accurately and proactively.
- Be customer-oriented and able to convey messages concretely.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and work well under time pressure, both individually and as part of a team.
- Adapt quickly to different tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Be a team player with an eye for colleagues' and the organization's interests.

Eurofins The Maastricht Forensic Institute (Eurofins TMFI) is the Dutch branch of Eurofins Forensics and is part of a network of more than 1500 forensic professionals. Eurofins TMFI offers forensic services to the police, the Public Prosecution Service, and the judiciary. Eurofins TMFI currently has three locations and is developing rapidly: the forensic laboratory is located in Maastricht and Amsterdam houses various reporting experts. Under the trade name Verilabs, legally valid DNA kinship research is offered from Gouda. In addition to providing services carried out entirely in the Netherlands in the field of, for example, forensic DNA research and forensic medical research, Eurofins TMFI also offers services from other Eurofins Forensics laboratories and (international) partners to the Dutch criminal justice chain as a 'managed service provider'.
Eurofins TMFI is a relatively small but rapidly growing organization within the network of Eurofins laboratories. The dynamic organization currently consists of approximately 70 ambitious employees and has a strong ambition focused on maximally supporting the Dutch Criminal Justice Chain with innovative, flexible, and customer-oriented solutions.
Job Description
The front office team in Maastricht currently consists of 5 employees. The activities within the team are mainly focused on ensuring the continuity of forensic case work. Daily activities include the logistical handling of receipt and issuance of goods, the registration of cases, sending reports, preparing invoices, and ensuring the chain of custody in the entire administrative process. In addition, you are responsible for keeping management information up to date and performing general office duties such as answering and processing phone calls, mail, and financial administrative tasks. In addition to your work, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself and contribute to the further development of the organization.
What will you do
- Coordinate the receipt, return, and transfer of items submitted for forensic investigation, ensuring the integrity of data and research material throughout the entire case cycle in accordance with the quality management system (QMS).
- Analyze the details provided by the client to determine which discipline and location cases should be investigated by (in accordance with the QMS).
- Handle (complex forensic) questions by phone and email and face-to-face from other teams, clients, and couriers.
- Prepare and send invoices.
- Process quotes, invoices, and inquiries received from clients and suppliers in our financial system.
- Handle phone traffic, including forensic questions.
- Manage mail and package handling.
- Contribute to and work on process improvements.
Job Requirements

Additional Information
- Knowledge of or experience with Excel is a plus.

- Available 32-40 hours per week.
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages.
- You can expect a one-year contract with the prospect of extension.
- A full-time salary between € 2,568.00 and € 3,830.00.
