The Order to Cash Functional Product Owner for Payment (Collections & Credit) oversees LNS credit and collections process, driving transformation projects for standardization, automation, and digitalization, while collaborating with product owners, technology teams, and stakeholders to design solutions and improve accounts receivable across Maersk.
The Order to Cash Functional Product Owner of Payment (Collections & Credit) team is accountable for overall OTC credit and collections process landscape, and drives the design and adoption of transformation projects throughout the entire Maersk organization, ensuring standardization, automation, digitization, embedded control measures and operational measurements. Work closely with both upstream and downstream product owners and technology platform teams to deliver end to end process design and digital products across all Maersk entities. Collaborate with business functions & stakeholders from all levels, platform and execution team, areas in designing the solutions and delivering positive enterprise outcomes. Deliver continuous improvements for accounts receivable credit and collections for all Logistics and Services products.
The role is key towards driving successful functioning and re-engineering of business processes within Customer Payment and Credit stream (Logistics & Services specific) by leading a team of six, with the integrator strategy in mind and Transformation journey we are embarking on. It is a Techno-Functional role which will have excellent visibility with senior stakeholders within the organization and with other verticals considering the criticality of the projects in which they are involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong Leadership Skills: The ability to lead, inspire, and guide a team toward transformation/integrator journey to achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and customers/enterprise outcomes in collections and credit management.
- In-Depth Collection & Credit Knowledge: Expertise in collections, credit risk assessment, and financial regulations relevant in Maersk (a bonus if aware the industry standard).
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficiency in analyzing financial data, key metrics, and reports to make informed decisions and optimize/integrate processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, frontlines, other functional, business and platform owners, backend execution offices, finance, and legal teams.
- Process Improvement Expertise: Ability to identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement continuous improvements to enhance performance and compliance.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in managing projects related to process changes, system implementations, or new product launches, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Who you are:
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience with global, multinational matrix structured organizations
- Strong understanding of Ocean & Logistics & Services business and Technologies /Platform like SAP/Jira.
- Strong understanding of finance and business drivers both upstream and downstream – in Shipping, Logistics and supply or related industry.
- Could manage change – understand concepts of change management with demonstrated capabilities
- Ability and experience of identifying business improvement ideas and deliver Business cases
- Good to have : Hands on experience in E2E Customer Payment & Credit process/policies with understanding & experience of relevant platforms, SAP (including FACT module), Collection tools (Get paid , FSCM) etc.
