Job Description:

In today's environment, global supply chains face an increasing number of disruptions, each more complex and impactful than the last. At Supply Chain Resilience Management, we are committed to identifying vulnerable aspects of the supply chain and implementing strategic solutions to mitigate these risks for our customers. Our approach seamlessly integrates proactive risk monitoring and resilience-building measures, assisting our customers in their preparation for and response to emerging challenges.

This includes the implementation of protective risk monitoring services and resilience consulting for both internal (client facing) and external stakeholders, while also supporting the development of Maersk's general supply chain risk and resilience products. Through our risk and resilience services, our goal is to help customers enhance supply chain resilience across carriers and transport modes, while driving Maersk’s growth.

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Resilience Consultant in the GSC. Responsible for proactively monitoring and analyzing global supply chain activities to identify potential risks. This role involves converting identified risks into actionable intelligence, ensuring that critical insights are regularly updated and maintained in a central repository. By providing these insights, the Supply Chain Resilience Consultant supports informed decision-making and strategic planning, safeguarding the company's supply chain integrity and enhancing resilience against disruptions.

Role: Supply Chain Resilience Consultant

Location: GSC Pune/Mumbai/Chennai

Role Deliverables:

Risk Monitoring and Analysis:

  • Continuously monitor global supply chain activities for potential risks, including geopolitical events, natural disasters, economic shifts, and market trends.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and methodologies to assess and quantify supply chain risks.

Risk Intelligence and Reporting:

  • Translate identified risks into actionable intelligence, providing clear and concise reports to stakeholders.
  • Maintain an up-to-date central repository of risk insights, ensuring accessibility and usability for decision-makers.

Decision Support and Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk intelligence into strategic planning and operational decision-making.
  • Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies to enhance supply chain resilience and integrity.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain risk management.
  • Propose and implement improvements to risk monitoring and analysis processes, ensuring continuous enhancement of the company's risk management capabilities.

Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's/ Master’s degree or equivalent in business or related field.
  • Preferred Certification in ISO 22301 / ISO 31000 or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in supply chain management with a thorough understanding of logistics, procurement, and inventory processes.
  • Knowledgeable about business continuity planning and strategies.
  • Consulting experience is a plus
  • Keen eye for detail to accurately identify and report potential risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and emerging risks.
  • Strategic thinker capable of aligning risk intelligence with organizational goals.
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Should be open to work in UK/US shift timings.
