Functional Safety Engineer (M/F) – Automotive Sector - Permanent Contract

This role is for a Functional Safety Engineer within ALTEN's automotive division. The main missions include analyzing functional safety requirements, defining strategies (ISO 26262, FMEA, FTA), conducting reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety studies (FMDS), and ensuring validation and qualification of embedded systems. The engineer will also elaborate safety files, collaborate with design, quality, and production teams, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Must Have

• Analyze functional safety requirements and define associated strategies (ISO 26262, FMEA, FTA, etc.).
• Perform reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety studies (FMDS).
• Ensure follow-up of validation and qualification plans for embedded systems.
• Develop and update safety files and technical analyses.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to integrate functional safety constraints into the product lifecycle.
• Write technical documentation and ensure traceability of data related to functional safety.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools used in projects.
• Graduate of an engineering school or holder of a Master's degree (Bac+5) in Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Safety in the automotive sector.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 standard.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of embedded systems.
