Job Summary
The Game Designer will create, design, calculate, analyze, and process game ideas for slot machines, reporting to the Studio Manager. This role involves developing new game concepts, verifying mathematical calculations, and providing documentation and guidance to the game team throughout the development process. Responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing advanced game design and mathematical skills, and executing comprehensive game design activities.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computational Physics, Statistics, Software Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years’ experience in a related field, gaming and/or casino industry experience.
- Strong Excel skills is a must.
- Ability to create well-structured, well-documented, maintainable programs in C/C++/C# (or comparable language).
- Knowledge of gaming products as well as deep knowledge of competitors’ and emerging industry products.
- Ability to clearly document and communicate results utilising strong written and verbal skills.
- Creative, forward-thinking, and thrives in fast-paced technology product development environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to working with multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player that can work across functional teams.
Good to Have
- Passion for casino slot and table games.
- Interest in games in general, whether it be card games, dice games, video games, etc.

About the role:
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the Game Designer will create, design, calculate, analyze and process game ideas which eventually translate into slot machines on the casino floor. The position is also involved in the development of new game concepts and is responsible for the creation and verification of all mathematical calculations for those games and providing game documentation and guidance to the game team throughout the game development process.
What you will be doing:
- Making games with a diverse team of Game Designers, Artists, Sound Designers and Software Engineers.
- Utilising advanced game design, mathematical, and creative skills to create multiple assigned games, focusing on the entire scope of game design elements.
- Executing the full scope of game design activities that involve basic creative thinking, industry and competitive knowledge and technical skills.
- Developing and analysing game mathematical properties (i.e. pay tables) and the design of updates and changes to pay tables for assigned game applications.
- Utilising knowledge of customer and end user preferences, math probability theories, play design concepts for gaming machines, design tools and player preferences such as likes and dislikes.
- Productivity: Must efficiently and effectively perform assigned tasks and accept new projects, as demand requires with timely and accurate completion.
- Quality: Consistently perform to high standards of accuracy, thoroughness and timelines.
- Interaction: Exhibit a positive manner toward the job and work well with customers and co-workers.
- Accountability: Self-accountable and accepts consequences of his/her actions. Demonstrates unquestionable integrity in their daily duties.
- Pitching and presenting new game ideas internally with supporting documentation, prototypes, and reference materials.
- Peer reviewing other Game Designers’ mathematics.
- Participating in market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, successful mechanics, and whitespace opportunities.
- Staying up to date on regulatory changes (e.g., RTP caps and gameplay limitations) and ensuring all designs meet compliance requirements.
Your Strengths:
