Job Summary
Cyanide, a leading French video game studio, is offering a 6-month full-time internship within the development team for their professional cycling games, Pro Cycling Manager and Tour de France. Under the guidance of a Level Designer, the intern will use an internal tool to create real cycling stages and races, reproduce their visual identity, commit and test them in the game engine, update production documentation, and report regularly to the team.
Must Have
- Ability to combine creativity and technical rigor
- Experience with a game editor (ideally PCM editor, otherwise Company of Heroes, Starcraft, Quake, Red Alert...)
- Ability and willingness to learn quickly and adapt to situations
- Ability to demonstrate productivity and creativity
- Ability to work with a tight schedule

- Good written and oral communication

- Outdoor activities enthusiast (hiking, trail running, road cycling, mountain biking...)
- Contributed in some way to enriching PCM (database, jerseys, etc.)
- Experience with the PCM editor

- Knowledge of console video games

About CYANIDE
Founded in 2000, Cyanide studio is today one of the leaders in French video games. The studio quickly gained recognition for the quality of its strategy, sports simulation, and role-playing games, such as Pro Cycling Manager, the Styx series, and Blood Bowl, which have been very successful with players. Building on this solid history and over 50 developed titles, the studio continues its success in the video game industry today, exploring new genres and imagining unique and exciting gaming experiences for players worldwide. Chef Life and Blood Bowl 3 were released in early 2023 to complete the list of published games.
The Position
This 6-month, full-time internship will be carried out within the development team for our games set in the world of professional cycling: Pro Cycling Manager and Tour de France.
Under the direction of the Level Designer, using an internal tool, you will participate in the following missions:
- Creation of real cycling stages/races (Tour de France, Vuelta, Paris-Roubaix...) ranging from a few tens to a few hundreds of kilometers, reproducing their specific visual identity at 1/5 and 1/10 scale.
- Commit and test the produced stages/races in the game engine.
- Update production documentation.
- Regular reporting to the rest of the team during production meetings.
Profile Sought
