Job Summary

Epic Games is seeking a Level Designer for its Fortnite team. In this role, you will leverage your experience, knowledge of design tools, and sense of scale to enhance the game's visual quality and delight players with new experiences. Level Designers at Epic are part of an interdisciplinary content creation team working to develop stunning levels that expand the Fortnite universe.

Must Have

  • Create buildings, natural landmarks, and points of interest in Fortnite using modular sets
  • Design visually appealing and fun locations that follow game rules
  • Focus on creating competitive and engaging play spaces
  • Use content to tell stories and advance ambient narration in the game world
  • Use your experience and tools to bring the game to life
  • Contribute to the vision of game locations, from planning to delivery
  • Work effectively in a collaborative environment, offering opinions and continuous feedback
  • More than five years of experience in level design
  • Experience with a level editor (Unreal Engine 4 or similar)
  • Direct involvement in prop placement, lighting, ambiance, atmosphere, and design marking
  • Experience working in close collaboration and communication with artists
  • Demonstrated ability to improvise and creatively solve problems

What we are looking for
