You will be called upon to innovate on existing systems like quests and passes, while also imagining new structures designed to guide player experience within a constantly evolving platform. Designers at Epic define the vision and guide multidisciplinary development teams to deliver challenging objectives that enrich player experience and integrate with broader progression systems.

What you will be responsible for

  • Drive design innovation in the field of engagement, particularly for systems, progression, and rewards, to achieve key objectives and meet the structural needs of the platform.
  • Communicate and embody the player experience vision to multiple teams across the company and support teams of all disciplines to optimize player engagement.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to ensure player satisfaction and overall game health, while fostering ecosystem growth and supporting major activations.
  • Lead a collaborative and iterative approach to live design, rapidly prototyping, applying changes in production, observing results, and iterating on learnings.

  • Demonstrated talent for understanding player motivations, play styles, and the impact of objective setting on their experience.
  • Strong interest in Battle Royale mode and the Fortnite ecosystem, as well as a deep understanding of what makes them appealing.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs, make informed decisions, and fully assume the creative vision.
  • Passion for players, creativity, proactivity, and a solution-oriented approach — qualities that lead to success at Epic and influence everything we do.

Benefits

We pay 100% of premiums associated with benefits, for both employees and dependents, and offer additional coverage for medical, dental, and vision care, critical illness, telemedicine, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and long-term disability insurance. We also offer weekly indemnity (short-term disability) and a retirement savings plan with a competitive employer contribution.
