About Parts of this role will require supporting across ByteDance, as well as TikTok. ByteDance is TikTok's parent company, whose mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life. About the team The main focus of the Global Corp Structure and Governance Legal Team is to provide all-in-one legal consulting services for overseas entities, covering areas such as corporate structure design, corporate governance, and information management. We strive to support global expansion of Bytedance by implementing well-designed corporate structures and offering advanced corporate governance solutions. Our core values revolve around using effective structures and governance tools to improve global management efficiency, reduce compliance risks, and optimize overall operational costs. Responsibility - Conduct legal research on regional laws and regulations, stay up-to-date with changing legal and regulatory environments, draft and review legal documents, and ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements. - Conduct legal research and prepare relevant legal memos and summaries on topics related to corporate governance and structure in the South-east Asia markets, such as foreign investment restrictions, regular risk evaluations of directors' and officers' liabilities, corporate governance mechanisms, declaration of dividends, company incorporation and dissolution etc. - Support in ensuring timely compliance with statutory obligations under regional law, such as applying for and renewing operational permits or licenses, filing annual returns, updating company registered information, and preparing directors' reports, etc. - Conduct legal research on regional compliance requirements and regulatory environment, as well as business trends and industry metrics to aid business decisions; and draft, review and revise documents related to corporate governance (such as board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, power of attorney etc).

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree and passed the PRC Bar examination or acquired lawyer qualification in at least one jurisdiction; - 3 years' work experience as a lawyer at law firm in corporate law and foreign investment law; - Excellent English skills in speaking, reading and writing and being able to use English as a working language. Preferred Qualifications - Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, with rigorous, efficient and willing working attitude, and being able to think independently, work under pressure and provide legal advice subject to business needs; - Good learning ability and legal logical thinking ability; - Study or work experience in Aisa Pacific is preferred.
