The Software Delivery Head will lead software development efforts from India, driving end-to-end software delivery across web and mobile platforms for the Connected Selling initiative and Digi-Chem offerings. This role involves overseeing the software development lifecycle, implementing industry best practices, and creating sustainable development and support processes. The head will focus on hiring, developing, and motivating talent, while also acting as a hands-on technical leader and engaging in detailed problem-solving. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, leading execution, refining processes, ensuring cross-functional engagement, identifying skill gaps, and ensuring customer experience improvement.

Mission Statement/Purpose
The Software Delivery Head will lead the software development efforts from India. This position is responsible for driving end-to-end software delivery, ensuring the quality and speed of execution across web and mobile platforms for the Connected Selling initiative and Digi-Chem offerings across the PT, WT, LT, and EM segments. The SW delivery head will oversee the software development lifecycle, implement industry best practices, and create sustainable development and support processes. Additionally, this role will focus on hiring, developing, and motivating talent while being a hands-on technical leader who can engage in detailed problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute software development goals, ensuring alignment with the company’s digital strategy.
- Lead the timely and high-quality execution of the digital portfolio by leveraging internal and external resources.
- Continuously refine and implement scalable processes for software development, deployment, and support.
- Use structured frameworks like the Phase Gate process to ensure cross-functional engagement and delivery accountability.
- Identify skill gaps and address them through targeted hiring, strategic partnerships, and upskilling initiatives.
- Actively develop and motivate team members by providing real-time coaching, assigning developmental projects, and fostering career growth.
- Ensure that global digital initiatives improve the customer experience and drive the adoption of digital solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, IT, Commercial, and Operational stakeholders, to deliver high-impact projects.
- Act as a technical authority, providing guidance on architecture, design, and implementation.

Must have had successful experiences:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, chemistry or related field.
- Ten years of experience leading and managing large, global, and multi-disciplinary digital teams.
- Experience managing a digital portfolio of projects, including Internet of Things and data science solutions, from concept to commercialization and support.
- Experience working and establishing strategic relationships with key external partners
- Deep background, knowledge, and prior experience with the development and deployment of Web and mobile software solutions including Azure or AWS environments. Strong technical skills across the entire IoT stack from edge devices to the cloud and broad skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Embedded programming
- Sensors, controllers, and other IoT hardware components including design, rapid prototyping, development, installation, and commissioning
- Data science tools and techniques
