Job Summary
The Daily Wire is seeking a Homepage Editor to oversee the curation and presentation of editorial content across our homepage. Reporting to the Managing Editor, this role serves as a central hub for daily publishing, making real-time decisions that balance editorial priorities, audience engagement, and breaking news. The Homepage Editor brings strong news judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, playing a key role in shaping how audiences discover, experience, and engage with The Daily Wire’s journalism.
Must Have
- Oversee homepage content curation and presentation
- Make real-time editorial decisions balancing priorities and breaking news
- Curate, organize, and update homepage content daily
- Prioritize story placement for editorial importance and audience relevance
- Write and edit headlines, dek text, and display copy
- Collaborate with newsroom leadership on coverage
- Monitor audience engagement and performance metrics
- Ensure content meets accuracy, quality, and editorial voice standards
- Identify and flag errors or inconsistencies
- Strong editorial judgment and headline-writing skills
- Experience with digital publishing platforms and newsroom workflows
- Ability to perform under tight deadlines and breaking-news conditions
- Familiarity with audience metrics and content performance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Curate, organize, and update homepage content throughout the publishing day
- Prioritize story placement based on editorial importance, timeliness, and audience relevance
- Write and edit headlines, dek text, and display copy for clarity, accuracy, and engagement
- Make real-time editorial decisions in response to breaking news and developing stories
- Collaborate with editors, reporters, and newsroom leadership on coverage priorities
- Monitor audience engagement and performance metrics to inform placement decisions
- Ensure homepage content meets standards for accuracy, quality, and editorial voice
- Identify and flag errors or inconsistencies for correction
Experience & requirements
- Background in journalism, digital media, communications, or a related field preferred
- Strong editorial judgment and headline-writing skills
