The HR Operations Intern will contribute ideas to improve Payroll and Administration processes and employees' experience. The role involves collaborating with the local team in Milan and a remote team in Poland. Responsibilities include gaining experience with Payroll, Time and Attendance, working with HR and Reward teams, supporting payroll and administration tasks using tools like SAP and Workday, participating in projects to improve HR portal content, and contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Must have:
  • Background in economics, business, HR studies, or related field
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Strong administrative and business-oriented mindset
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Passion for Payroll, Administration and HR topics
Good to have:
  • Experience in HR administration

HR Operation Intern

Join us as a Philips People Services (PPS) Intern to contribute ideas and initiatives to improve Payroll and Administration processes and employees’ experience. You will be an integral part of the Philips People Services Local team based in Milan, collaborating closely with a Remote team based in Poland, where our Global Competence Center is located.


Your role:

  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance Philips people's experience and streamline PPS processes.

  • Gain hands-on experience with Payroll cycle and Time and Attendance topics.

  • Work closely with HR and Reward teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.

  • Support the local team with payroll and administration tasks, including familiarization with tools like SAP, Workday, and Philips HR Portal.

  • Participate in projects such as reviewing and improving HR portal content and validating employee data inputs.

  • Actively contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have a background in economics, business, HR studies or a related field

  • You are fluent in Italian and English

  • You possess proficiency in MS Office, expecially Excel and Word

  • Strong administrative and business-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

  • You demonstrate a passion for Payroll, Administration an HR topics and you have personal integrity when handling confidential information

  • Experience in HR administration would be a plus.
