Job Summary

Fingersoft is seeking an experienced HR Specialist for a fixed-term family leave substitution (12-18 months) in Oulu, Finland. This solo role involves managing daily HR operations, implementing HR strategy, overseeing the employee life cycle, supporting supervisors, developing HR services, and running performance reviews. The specialist will also handle employment contracts, HR budgeting, reporting, and act as the occupational safety manager, potentially offering relocation support for international hires.

Must Have

  • Putting HR strategy into practice.
  • Being responsible for the employee life cycle starting from recruitment and ending in good quality offboarding.
  • Supporting our supervisors in their job as people leaders.
  • Developing our HR services and processes.
  • Developing our leadership culture by planning and organizing leadership workshops together with our outsourced partner.
  • Running performance review, growth discussion and employee survey cycles.
  • Being the main point of contact to our occupational healthcare, pension company and Employer of Record (EOR) partner.
  • Preparing employment contracts, reference letters, and other people-related documents.
  • Preparing the annual HR budget.
  • Preparing monthly HR reports for the leadership and the board of directors.
  • Being the admin user of our HRIS Bob and ATS Teamtailor.
  • Acting as the occupational safety manager and working together with the occupational safety committee to ensure a safe working environment.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A good understanding of HR processes and practices.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Knowledge of employment law and ability to navigate in an environment without a collective agreement.
  • Customer service attitude, problem-solving skills and can-do attitude.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Good communication skills in both Finnish and English.
  • Great self-leadership skills: This position requires time management skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently.

WHAT WE’RE AFTER

We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist for our main office in Oulu, Finland. In this solo HR role, you will be in charge of daily HR operations. This is a fixed-term family leave substitution, lasting approximately 12–18 months, and the position can be shaped based on your previous experience and preferences.

What you would be doing:

  • Putting HR strategy into practice.

  • Developing our leadership culture by planning and organizing leadership workshops together with our outsourced partner.

  • Preparing employment contracts, reference letters, and other people-related documents.
  • Preparing the annual HR budget.

  • If necessary, offering relocation support to new hires from abroad including residence permits and other arrangements related to moving to Finland.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Knowledge of employment law and ability to navigate in an environment without a collective agreement.
  • Customer service attitude, problem-solving skills and can-do attitude.
  • Good teamwork skills: In this position, you will have cross-team collaboration daily.
  • Good communication skills in both Finnish and English. We have 20 different nationalities and our company language is English.
  • Great self-leadership skills: This position requires time management skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently.
