Job Summary

The IC Design Engineer will be a key technical contributor within a digital design team, focusing on developing highly integrated mixed-signal SoCs for low-power MCU and Wireless products. Responsibilities include detailed block architecture and design of digital circuits, SoC integration, and comprehensive verification. The role requires strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, IP development, SoC/ASIC design methodologies, and microcontroller embedded processors, contributing to cutting-edge connectivity solutions.

Must Have

  • Technical contribution to digital design team
  • Developing highly integrated mixed signal SoCs for low power MCU and Wireless products
  • Detailed block architecture/design of digital circuits
  • In-depth understanding of block requirements, system needs, and interfaces
  • Developing block specifications
  • Implementing design through RTL coding
  • SoC Integration of digital blocks / IP
  • Developing SoC infrastructure (bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power management, reset management)
  • Integrating mixed signal and RF IP
  • Performing block level verification
  • Performing SoC integration and infrastructure verification
  • Verifying mixed-signal and RF IP integration (including mixed-signal modeling and cosimulation)
  • Developing embedded firmware to verify SoC Integration and Validation
  • Performing requirement, architecture, design, and verification reviews
  • Developing customer facing reference manual and datasheet material
  • PhD/Master’s degree in microelectronics or a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering with a minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals
  • Knowledge of IP Development, System-On-Chip or ASIC design, tools, and methodologies
  • Knowledge of microcontroller embedded processor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of CortexM based systems
  • Verification skills (logic simulation, testbench development, performance verification, System-On-Chip or UVM verification experience)

What we’re looking for:

The candidate will be a technical contributor as part of a digital design team developing highly integrated mixed signal SoC’s for low power MCU and Wireless products.

Skills you’ll need:

  • Detailed block architecture/design of digital circuits
  • In-depth understanding of block requirements, system needs, and interfaces
  • Develop block specification, working with cross-functional teams to develop requirements
  • Determine appropriate design approach and partitioning
  • Implement design through RTL coding, adhering to quality guidelines
  • SoC Integration
  • Integration of digital blocks / IP into the SoC infrastructure
  • Development of SoC infrastructure, such as bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power management, reset management
  • Integration of mixed signal and RF IP
  • Verification
  • Block level verification to validate block performance with adherence to requirements using directed, random, and assertion-based methods
  • SoC integration and infrastructure verification
  • Verification of mixed-signal and RF IP integration, including mixed-signal modeling and cosimulation
  • Develop embedded firmware to verify SoC Integration and Validation.
  • Documentation
  • Perform requirement, architecture, design, and verification reviews
  • Develop customer facing reference manual and datasheet material

Education and/or Experience:

  • PhD / Master’s degree in microelectronics or a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals
  • Knowledge of IP Development, System-On-Chip or ASIC design, tools, and methodologies
  • Knowledge of microcontroller embedded processor
  • Design skills in the following areas a plus:
  • RTL Coding
  • Software/Firmware coding
  • Low-power implementation
  • Knowledge of CortexM based systems
  • Verification skills (e.g., logic simulation, testbench development, performance verification), System-On-Chip or UVM verification experience is a plus.
