Job Summary

QS is seeking an In-Country Representative for the MENA region, based in Türkiye, to support London South Bank University (LSBU) in international student recruitment. This contract, remote role involves driving recruitment initiatives, establishing networks, increasing applications through proactive engagement, and managing event logistics. The representative will advise prospective undergraduate and graduate students, manage recruitment partners, and engage with alumni, aiming to meet application and enrollment goals for LSBU.

Must Have

  • Serve as the LSBU representative for international student enrolment in the region.
  • Establish a network of relationships to effectively support and maximize regional recruitment.
  • Increase leads and international student applications through proactive recruitment activities.
  • Responsible for meeting application and enrolment goals.
  • Effectively manage all event logistics, communications, and support partners/vendors relationships.
  • Ensure regional recruitment activities are aligned with best practices.
  • Regular communication with LSBU internal and external stakeholders.
  • Report regularly on outcomes of all activities, including relevant metrics and accurate data.
  • Represent the university at recruitment events (fairs, school visits, webinars, open days and counsellor events).
  • Communicate with prospective students, providing academic program information.
  • Build visibility and trust with authorized in-region recruitment partners.
  • Deliver training and brand education to partners to recruit international students to LSBU.
  • Ensure the quality and credibility of applications is met.
  • Identify and cultivate strong relationships with international schools, local universities, and other feeder institutions.
  • Provide information to prospective students on the application process.
  • Host alumni events to engage alumni.
  • Document all leads and related activities in a consistent manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting international student recruitment, admissions, or related engagement roles within higher education.
  • Advanced-level English language skills.
  • Ability to travel across MENA region whenever required.
  • Highly refined business presentation and reporting skills in English.
  • High level of enthusiasm, self-motivation, and integrity for lengthy periods of travel without supervision.
  • Problem solving and organizational skills to deal with complex and difficult situations autonomously.
  • High level of literacy and attention to detail to produce clear, concise reports and strategies.
  • High level of numeracy and prior experience of managing budgets and analyzing basic statistical information.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience of international conversion activity.
  • A history of working with educational agencies in the MENA Region.
  • Experience working with international students and higher education programmes.
  • Experience selling a complex and diversified education product portfolio.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Experience with customer service.

  • Postgraduate or international higher education study experience.
  • Experience representing foreign universities.
  • Experience working with domestic universities, secondary schools, English language schools and other preparatory entities.
  • Ability to speak Arabic or any other local languages within MENA region.
  • Experience collaborating interdepartmentally and/or externally.
  • Experience of effectively using CRM and data management tools, virtual engagement platforms, and productivity tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office.
  • Experience liaising with a geographically and culturally diverse team.
  • An awareness of issues in marketing educational services in an international context.
  • Sensitive to intellectual property and data protection.

The Role:

QS is supporting London South Bank University (LSBU) seeking a Türkiye based, dynamic and highly motivated regional student recruitment talent to help the university in driving international student recruitment initiatives in Middle East & North Africa Region (MENA) region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in recruiting and advising prospective students from MENA region for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Role responsibilities:

  • Serve as the LSBU representative for international student enrolment in the region, with awareness of opportunities and potential challenges/threats within the region
  • Establish a network of relationships to effectively support and maximize regional recruitment to meet LSBU international student enrolment goals
  • Increase leads and international student applications through the development of proactive recruitment activities and engagement, including and not limited to information sessions, webinars.
  • Responsible for meeting application and enrolment goals
  • Effectively manage all event logistics, communications, and support partners / vendors relationships, in collaboration with LSBU team
  • Ensure that all regional recruitment activities are aligned with best practices in enrolment management and recruitment of QS & LSBU
  • Regular communication with LSBU internal and external stakeholders to ensure activities are aligned with institutional and enrolment goals
  • Report regularly on outcomes of all activities related to the role and responsibilities, including relevant metrics and accurate data
  • The candidate may perform other related duties as assigned.
  • The position requires significant travel throughout the region, typically up to 40%, with flexibility as needed and to occasionally support virtual events outside of standard working hours. There will be requirements to travel to other countries within the region occasionally, depending on the university needs and market movement.

The candidate will engage in the following job relevant responsibilities including:

  • Recruitment: representing the university at recruitment events (fairs, school visits, webinars, open days and counsellor events), communicating with prospective students, providing academic program information
  • Partner Management: build visibility and trust with authorized in-region recruitment partners, delivering training and brand education to enable partners to recruit international students to LSBU, while ensuring the quality and credibility of application is met.
  • Partner Development: Identify and cultivate strong relationships with international schools, local universities, and other feeder institutions.
  • Application support: providing information to prospective students on the application process, including application deadlines, application requirements, procedures for submission etc.
  • Alumni engagement: hosting alumni events to engage alumni
  • Data collection: the candidate will be expected to document all leads and related activities in a consistent manner as required

KPIs

  • Reports demonstrating regular, timely and consistent outreach and communication with prospective students and encouraging conversion rates to enrolment
  • Reports demonstrating regular, timely and consistent outreach and communication with recruitment partners/agents while providing support to ensure strong & high-quality student recruitment result
  • Achieve application & enrollment goals set for assigned project from the region
