Job Description

Thales is seeking a Systems Engineering intern for a 3-month period in Rungis, France. The role involves contributing to the digitalization of traceability in air surveillance projects, specifically extending the Polarion model to include test traceability. The intern will instantiate this model on target projects and deliver a turnkey solution for broader deployment. This position is within a dynamic team focused on air traffic management and protection systems.

Your daily life

We provide and support systems for air traffic management and protection. We work with passion in a modern architectural setting, striving to push the boundaries of technology in our key sectors. Our site, south of Paris, is easily accessible by public transport.

Our sector designs, integrates, tests, and delivers turnkey air surveillance solutions worldwide, and these solutions integrate multiple systems.

The issue of traceability in projects concerns the ability to track, document, and retrieve all elements and decisions throughout a project's lifecycle, which is a major challenge for our projects. A first step in deploying the digitalization of this traceability has been implemented for the requirements definition phase using the Polarion tool.

The objective of the internship will be to continue the deployment of this digitalization across the integration, verification, and validation phases in a multi-system and cultural environment.

Your missions:

1. Complete the traceability model currently used in Polarion to include test traceability.

2. Instantiate this model on 1 or 2 target projects.

3. Deliver a turnkey solution for deployment across all projects.

Your profile:

You are studying engineering or a master's degree in systems engineering and are looking for a 3-month internship.

Essential skills:

  • Knowledge of a project's lifecycle
  • Clear and structured writing
  • English, Spanish (a plus)
  • Proficiency in Office suite
  • Comfortable with management tools (e.g., Polarion)
  • Ability to define queries
