Jr. DevOps Engineer

This Jr. DevOps Engineer role at element8 in Calicut, India, is a full-time position for freshers, including a 3-6 month internship period. The role focuses on gaining hands-on experience in DevOps principles, version control with Git/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/AWS CodeBuild, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud services like AWS. Candidates will also work with configuration management tools like Ansible/Terraform and monitoring tools like CloudWatch/Nagios, collaborating on projects using JIRA.

Must Have

• Gain hands-on experience in implementing DevOps principles and practices.
• Use tools like Git and GitLab for code versioning and collaboration.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and AWS CodeBuild.
• Learn and work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Gain experience working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC.
• Assist in managing configurations using Ansible and deploying infrastructure with Terraform.
• Use tools like CloudWatch and Nagios to monitor system health and performance.
• Work with teams to manage tasks and projects using JIRA.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Completed a certification course in DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Ubuntu, Windows).
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD, containerization, and cloud computing concepts.
• Excellent communication, eagerness to learn, and strong problem-solving abilities.
