Junior Legal Counsel -
Nolimit City | Malta
Our legal team is expanding, and we are seeking a highly motivated Junior Legal Counsel to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review a broad range of agreements, including commercial agreements, vendor agreements, addenda and amendment agreements, ensuring compliance with multiple legal frameworks.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams within the business, including commercial, compliance and finance, to ensure all contracts align with overall business objectives.
- Offer clear, practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders, including the commercial team, on commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate standards.
- Assist with the preparation of corporate documentation that shall be required from time to time for the entities forming part of the Nolimit City group of companies.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of notifications, forms, returns and other regulatory filings required by regulatory authorities.
- Maintain a contract registration and management system for the organisation of the commercial and vendor agreements and other documentation and facilitate smooth tracking of important agreement milestones, including renewals, expirations, and obligations.
- Assist with the preparation of corporate documentation that shall be required from time to time for the entities forming part of the Nolimit City group of companies.
- Conduct legal research to stay informed of legislative and regulatory developments in multi-national regulatory online gambling regimes and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations and the mitigation of potential risk.
- Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated and required for the smooth running of the legal team.
Key Skills
- Qualified lawyer, preferably with a warrant to practice law in Malta.
- A minimum of one year of post-qualification experience, with a focus on commercial or corporate law.
- A reliable, motivated and high attention to detail individual.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals effectively.
- Fully committed to delivering high-quality work and having excellent organisational skills.
- A collaborative team player who is willing to share knowledge and contribute to the growth and success of the legal team whilst also being self-driven and able to work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in working within an international business environment or in the iGaming sector is a plus.
