Job Summary
Are you passionate about People & Culture topics, have you already gained initial experience in HR, and enjoy a generalist, varied role? Then you've come to the right place! Together with Gina and Carlotta, you will design and manage all People & Culture topics for around 70 employees at BUILD A ROCKET. You will particularly support our Team Lead Gina in processing operational topics and in developing conceptual content and processes.
Must Have
- Employee support: Accompany team members from start to exit, central contact for People-related questions.
- People Administration: Maintain Personio tool with current data, contracts, overseeing the People lifecycle.
- Recruiting & On-/Offboarding: Manage application processes for international positions, organize new employee onboarding/offboarding.
- Payroll: Support preparatory payroll accounting, structure all relevant data.
- Personnel Development: Support development topics like new learning formats, leadership development, or bi-annual Development Dialogues.
- Research: Research current People & Culture topics, prepare them appealingly and target-group-oriented.
- Student Employee Support: Contact person for all topics related to student employees.
- Presentations: Create presentation slides for company-wide Monthly Meetings, present topics.
- Contribute creative ideas for Employer Branding or Personnel Development, support Carlotta and Gina as needed.
- Completed degree with HR focus (Pedagogy, Psychology, Business Psychology, Business Administration or similar) or comparable training.
- Experience in People & Culture and knowledge of standard HR processes.
- Good sense for people & enjoyment in being an open ear for everyone at BUILD A ROCKET.
- Very independent, solution-oriented, structured work style, and strong organizational talent.
- Strong communication skills - open and honest.
- Pragmatism and creative (but data-driven) problem-solving are your strengths.
- True People all-rounder, interested in both operational and creative tasks, eager to learn new topics.
- Enjoy juggling many topics and concerns.
- Fluent in German and English, both verbally and in writing.

- Experience with our HR tool Personio.
- Easily visualize content appealingly in Powerpoint.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Available at least 32-40 hours per week.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Together with Gina and Carlotta, you will design and manage all People & Culture topics for around 70 employees at BUILD A ROCKET. You will particularly support our Team Lead Gina in processing operational topics and in developing conceptual content and processes.
Your tasks include:
- Employee Support: You accompany our team members from their first day until their departure and are the central contact person for all People-relevant questions.
- People Administration: You maintain our People tool Personio with the current data, contracts, etc., and thus keep an overview of the entire People lifecycle.
- Recruiting & On-/Offboarding: You manage application processes for your own (international) positions and organize the onboarding and offboarding of new employees.
- Payroll: You support in preparatory payroll accounting and structure all payroll-relevant data.
- Personnel Development: You support development topics such as the introduction of new learning formats, in leadership development, or in our semi-annual Development Dialogues.
- Research Activities: You research current topics around People & Culture and prepare them appealingly and target-group-appropriately.
- Student Employee Support: You are the contact person for all topics related to our student employees.
- Presentations: For our company-wide Monthly Meeting, you create presentation slides and present your topics.
- Further Topics: You contribute creative ideas, e.g., on Employer Branding or personnel development, or support Carlotta and Gina in their topics as needed.
TO SUCCEED YOU NEED
- You have a completed degree with an HR focus (Pedagogy, Psychology, Business Psychology, Business Administration or similar) or comparable training (or you are simply really good at what you do)
- You have experience in the People & Culture area and are familiar with standard HR processes
- You have a good sense for people & enjoy being an open ear for everyone at BUILD A ROCKET
- You possess a very independent, solution-oriented, and structured way of working and convince us with your organizational talent
- Communication skills - open and honest - are among your strengths
- Pragmatism and creative (but data-driven) problem-solving are your strong suits
- You are a true People all-rounder and are interested in both operational and creative tasks and are eager to learn new topics
- You enjoy juggling many balls in the form of topics and concerns
- You can communicate fluently in German and English, both verbally and in writing

- You are available to us at least 32-40 hours a week
