Job Summary
ZURU is seeking a Key Account Manager to lead consumer goods growth in Germany across Baby, Beauty, and Pet categories. The role involves owning strategy, execution, and P&L to drive sales, profitability, and market share. You will lead customer negotiations, shape category strategies, and drive joint business planning, disrupting incumbents by delivering better outcomes for consumers and customers. Success requires bold ownership, bias for action, and strong advocacy. The role focuses on both short-term impact through executing existing momentum and brand launches, and long-term impact by building data-driven partnerships with German retailers and ZURU distributors to position the company as a category leader and ensure sustainable growth and brand equity.
Must Have
- 3-6+ years experience with top German retailers
- Entrepreneurial mentality
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English and German

Job Description
- Lead and Plan Financial Performance: You will be driving and exceeding key sales targets and performance metrics for Germany across Beauty, Baby Care, and Pet categories. You'll guide internal forecasting and manage financial planning processes, overseeing financial operations.
- Execute with Excellence: You will be maximizing the availability, visibility, and recognition of ZURU brands both in-store and online by managing distribution, displays, and marketing activations, focusing on strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate and Lead Cross-Functional Teams: You will be leading cross-functional teams to exceed customer sales performance expectations, P&L goals, and supply metrics. You will work alongside the marketing team to design and execute campaigns, product launches, and promotions that enhance brand awareness and generate demand, effectively collaborating across various time zones to deliver results.
- Manage Key Accounts and Customer Relationships: You will be developing and maintaining key account relationships and long-term customer partnerships to achieve mutually beneficial strategic and financial goals.
- Develop Customer Strategies: You will be crafting customer strategies and influencing cross-functional support to secure the necessary tools and backing for market success.
- Foster Team Culture and Development: You will be cultivating a team environment that supports innovative market disruption and rapid growth, while resolving business challenges, building relationships, and enhancing capability development.
- 3 - 6+ years’ experience working directly with top German retailers (Edeka, Kaufland, Rewe, DM, Rossmann), either in an account manager, category manager, or other customer facing sales position
- An Entrepreneurial mentality, acting as an owner of your business
- Track record of advancement and hunger for growth in role and responsibility
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Grocery or Pet Food experience preferred, but not necessary
- Fluency in English and German
