Job Description

Our team is expanding, and we want to hire the most talented people we can. This role involves testing, debugging, and repairing Adtran products, preparing them for hardware functional testing and system integration. The Lab Technician will maintain the lab, including mounting systems, keeping equipment running, calibrating, and managing connections. Responsibilities also include reworking and repairing PCBAs, maintaining documentation, and supporting lab organization.
Must have:
  • Test, debug, and repair Adtran products
  • Prepare Adtran products for hardware functional testing, system integration & testing
  • Maintain Lab in-office
  • Mount and connect all systems in Lab
  • Keep Lab equipment up and running
  • Calibrate equipment, interfacing with CTE
  • Maintain Lab connections for Software, ASIC and AOS groups and off-site personnel
  • Handle all shipping and receiving
  • Rework or repair the new PCBAs and engineering units including soldering and maintaining the operation of the PCBA rework station
  • Implement all reworks as guided by the Hardware Engineer
  • Maintain all record documentation in database for all units that pass through Lab including Polarion
  • Provide support in Lab equipment organization, configuration, and maintenance

  • Rework or repair the new PCBAs and engineering units including soldering and maintaining the operation of the PCBA rework station
  • Implement all reworks as guided by the Hardware Engineer
  • Maintain all record documentation in database for all units that pass through Lab including Polarion
  • Provide support in Lab equipment organization, configuration, and maintenance
  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent is required
  • 0 – 2 years of prior experience is required
  • Familiar with Lab equipment used in Richardson Lab
  • Experience in reworking and repairing complex PCBAs
  • Limited travel is expected in this position
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
