Are you passionate about building communities and bringing people together? We’re on the hunt for a Lead Community Manager to help us create and grow an amazing player community for our brand-new puzzle game! In this role, you’ll be the key to connecting our players with our game teams, fostering engagement, and making sure our players have the best experience possible through fun, creative social media content and meaningful interactions.

This is your chance to make a real impact by helping shape our growing Community craft at Rovio, all while building strong bridges between our players and the people who make our games.

We’re hiring for this position in Barcelona and Espoo, and we offer a hybrid work model. If you're not already in one of these locations, we’ll support your relocation to get you here!

You will have impact and fun at work by:

    • Developing community strategies, content calendars, and campaigns that support the launch and live operations for our new Puzzle mobile game.
    • Collaborating with the cross-functional marketing teams, and external partners to create engaging content that informs, excites, and inspires our players, with the goal of boosting long-term engagement and building a positive player community.
    • Teaming up with our UXR team to define the right communication channels for our new games and create strategies to grow and nurture those spaces.
    • Working closely with Player Support to establish community guidelines, policies, and best practices to support your community. You’ll also create a process to make sure player feedback gets back to the game teams, with suggestions on short and long-term solutions to solve negative sentiment drivers or other live issues.
    • Providing mentorship and guidance to other members in the community team and across Puzzle Studio.
    • Building meaningful relationships with fans, content creators and our most dedicated players.
    • Staying on top of the latest trends in social media, community management and marketing.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

    • Experience creating large-scale community management strategies from scratch, especially in casual mobile games. Experience with puzzle games is a bonus!
    • A proven track record of building and nurturing online gaming communities on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Discord, YouTube.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience in both long-form blogs and social media content.
    • Strong ability to mentor and train less experienced team members.
    • Ability to process large amounts of information rapidly, keeping track of different simultaneous activities in your communities as well as collaborating with different teams on multiple projects or campaigns.
    • Ability to see the big picture and understand how individual contributions impact the game's success.
    • Experience working with brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all channels.
