Job Summary

BMS Engineering specializes in the design and manufacture of tubular and sheetmetal fabrications, roll cages, and chassis structures for the Automotive and Motorsport Industries. They are seeking a highly skilled Lead Fabricator to lead hands-on fabrication of bespoke motorsport components, interpret CAD and engineering drawings, and collaborate with engineers to deliver projects on time, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Must Have

  • TIG and MIG welding (Steel & Aluminium) to a high standard
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Motorsport fabrication
  • Tubular and sheetmetal fabrication expertise
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Good to Have

  • CNC machinery operation (press brake, mill, lathe)
  • CAD software experience
  • FARO arm CMM/inspection experience
  • Roll cage installation
  • Titanium welding

Job Description

BMS Engineering are specialists in the design and manufacture of tubular and sheetmetal fabrications, roll cages and chassis structures for the Automotive and Motorsport Industries.

Due to continued growth, we require a highly skilled Lead Fabricator with experience in the Motorsport Industry to join our small team and support a range of exciting projects. We are looking for a well organised individual with a fine attention to detail and good communication skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading hands-on fabrication of bespoke motorsport components
  • Interpreting and working from CAD and detailed engineering drawings
  • Collaborating with engineers and technicians to deliver projects on time
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Helping to identify and implement process improvements

Essential Skills:

  • TIG and MIG welding (Steel & Aluminium) to a high standard
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Motorsport fabrication
  • Tubular and sheetmetal fabrication expertise
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Advantageous Skills:

BMS Engineering can offer the right candidate opportunities to further develop skills in the operation of a range of software and machinery.

Full time position, salary up to £46000 based on skills and experience.
