Job Summary
Larian Studios, an award-winning developer of high-quality RPGs like Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2, is seeking a Lead Network Engineer. This role involves leading a team of network engineers, designing and maintaining a secure, high-performance network across multiple studio sites, enforcing security policies, and ensuring secure infrastructure for new projects.
Must Have
- Manage a team of 5+ network engineers
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance networks
- Enforce network security policies and procedures
- Install and maintain network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Maintain network hardware and software documentation
- Assist in technical design and implementation
- Perform technical security audits
- Develop best practices and ensure documentation is up to date
- Educate and train staff on information system security best practices
- Investigate and utilise new technologies for security and performance
- Work closely with IT management team on information security strategy
- Participate in change management workflow
- Responsible for incident handling procedures and security incident reporting
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience working in a challenging IT environment
- Strong background in enterprise-level routing, switching, and firewall management
- Experience working in datacenter environments
- Proficiency with core network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP)
- Proven ability to manage large, distributed, multi-site network environments
- Experience with enterprise network switching, routers and firewalls
- Experience with Cisco equipment
- Knowledge of industry best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Required on-site presence

- Familiarity with high-throughput data distribution
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with automation platforms such as Terraform & Ansible
- Experience with scripting for automations
