Job Summary
Larian Studios, an award-winning developer known for Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2, is seeking a Financial Controller in Dublin. This role involves leading IFRS financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, managing audits, and overseeing AP/AR operations across all entities. The successful candidate will also establish internal controls, optimize ERP systems, and develop the accounting team to support the creation of high-calibre games.
Must Have
- Lead accurate IFRS financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit management, working-capital oversight, and AP/AR operations across all entities.
- Establish, regularly review and maintain strong internal controls, standardized processes, and effective risk and compliance frameworks across the group.
- Oversee timely, accurate month-end and year-end close processes, including journal reviews, reconciliations, and intercompany compliance.
- Support global tax compliance and treasury functions, ensuring efficient cash management, liquidity planning, and intercompany funding.
- Optimize ERP systems and drive automation and process improvements to enhance financial efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Train and develop the accounting team by building technical expertise to support career development.
- Certified accounting professional (CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with 7+ years of progressive finance experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
- Proven ability to lead audits, manage external advisors, and ensure compliance with IFRS and international tax regulations.
- Strong background collaborating with international, cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Results-oriented and proactive, with a hands-on approach to execution and problem solving.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Adaptable, collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, creative, and evolving environments.
Good to Have
- Experience in a creative, technology, or entertainment industry environment
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite
- Proven experience with process improvement, ERP optimization, or system implementations
- Experience using data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI
- Familiarity with project-based accounting or R&D credit/tax incentive frameworks
- Strong Excel modeling and scenario analysis capabilities.
