About the Role:
We are hiring a Lead Product Software Engineer to drive the engineering strategy and leadership across a multi-layered analytics ecosystem that powers enterprise decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical depth, architectural thinking, and cross-functional leadership in building scalable, secure, and governed data platforms.
The role has a strong focus on engineering excellence, platform reliability, and team enablement. While there is an aspect of guiding and shaping engineering practices, a solid hands-on foundation in Python, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native data operations is essential to effectively mentor the team, make informed decisions, and uphold platform standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define and own the data engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, architectural standards, and operational KPIs.
- Lead and mentor data engineers, fostering a culture of autonomy, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Drive infrastructure-as-code adoption (Terraform) and cloud-native engineering practices across the platform.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions integration for data workflows, ensuring reliable and secure deployments.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and platform teams to evolve the ecosystem.
- Ensure engineering practices are aligned with company-wide standards
- Guide the team in building scalable, maintainable, and observable data pipelines using Python and Azure services.
- Partner with QA, product, and analytics teams to embed reliability and governance early in the development lifecycle.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Proven experience leading engineering efforts in cloud-native, analytics-driven environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Deep understanding of Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Skilled in mentoring and developing engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical growth.
- Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
- Familiarity with Azure data services.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and secure data operations
