Lead Software Engineer

Tekion is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Bangalore, India, to design and build solutions for complex business workflows within their cloud-native automotive platform. The role involves end-to-end ownership of components, writing high-quality, scalable code, solving performance bottlenecks, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should have strong Java and object-oriented development skills, experience with AI tools and LLMs, microservices, and various database and cloud technologies.

Must Have

• Design and build solutions for complex business workflows
• Understand user persona and deliver a slick experience
• Effectively and quickly code using AI tools
• Use AI to generate HLD and LLD documents, review and evaluate AI suggestions
• Use AI to code key components
• Build scalable agentic workflows
• Take end-to-end ownership of components (design, code, testing, integration, deployment, enhancements)
• Write high-quality code
• Solve performance bottlenecks
• Mentor junior engineers
• Communicate and collaborate with management, product, QA, UI/UX teams
• Deliver with quality, on-time in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Bachelor/Master's in computer science or relevant fields
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong sense of ownership
• Excellent Java and object-oriented development skills with exposure on leading a team
• Experience in building AI agents
• Experience working on AI Tools like Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, claudeAI, CodeGeeX, Tabnine, MutableAI, Codacy for code review & code generation
• Hands-on LLM experience for Solution or integration
• Experience in building and scaling microservices
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting and diagnosing
• Expected to be a role model for young engineers, have a strong sense of code quality and enforce code quality within the team
• Strong knowledge in RDBMS and NoSql technologies
• Experience in developing for enterprise systems like eCommerce / manufacturing / supply chain etc
• Excellent understanding of Debugging performance and optimization techniques
• Experience in Java, Mongo, MySQL, AWS technologies, ELK stack, Spring boot, Kafka
• Experience in developing large scale cloud technologies
• Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and build solutions for complex business workflows
• Understanding the user persona and deliver a slick experience
• AI tool usage, how effectively and quickly the candidate is able to code using AI
• use AI to generate HLD and LLD documents. Get it reviewed by the AI, evaluate whether the suggestion given by the AI tool is right. Also, use AI to code some of the key components
• Build Scalable agentic workflows
• Take end to end ownership of components and be responsible for the subsystems that you work on from design, code, testing, integration, deployment, enhancements, etc.
• Write high-quality code and taking responsibility for their task
• Solve performance bottlenecks
• Mentor junior engineers
• Communicate and collaborate with management, product, QA, UI/UX teams
• Deliver with quality, on-time in a fast-paced start-up environment

Minimum Qualification :

• Bachelor/Master's in computer science or relevant fields
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong sense of ownership
• Excellent with Java and object-oriented development skills with exposure on leading a team
• Holds experience in building ai agents
• Experience working on AI Tools like Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, claudeAI, CodeGeeX, Tabnine, MutableAI, Codacy ectc... for code review & code generation.
