Coordinate and lead continuous improvement projects and critical cost-saving projects, using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes, reduce variation, eliminate waste, improve product quality, and increase operational efficiency within the plant.
Promote and coordinate projects using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
Standardize processes using tools such as 5S, VSM, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Kanban, etc.
Identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing, quality, logistics, maintenance, etc.
Coordinate movements and relocations for maintenance and optimization of the company's design.
Monitor key performance indicators before, during, and after projects.
Track KPIs for efficiency, scrap, OEE, productivity, rework, cycle times, etc.
Identify losses, bottlenecks, and waste in processes using statistical tools in the alternator and starters manufacturing process.
Generate performance reports and propose corrective/preventive actions.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams in the execution of projects for savings, cost reduction, or capacity increase.
Develop action plans, timelines, A3 Reports, and documentation of results.
Ensure that projects are aligned with the organization strategic objectives
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and active employee participation (suggestions, Kaizen Blitz, etc.).
Promote recognition programs for ideas or achievements in continuous improvement.
Ensure the training and monitoring of Kaizen or Green/Black Belt teams.
Support other relevant management positions to demonstrate leadership in their areas of responsibility.
Train and coach operational and administrative staff in continuous improvement tools.
Keep standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work practices
Coordinate internal audits related to Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement.
Ensure the sustainability of implemented projects and standards.
Develop and maintain visual management of the plant.
Ensure and generate as support high-impact savings projects with Finance department.
Coordinate customer portals for capacity studies.
Quantify the financial savings derived from the improvements implemented.
Participate in the preparation of the annual savings or productivity plan.
Document projects, present results to senior management and committee, generating executive impact reports.
Education: Industrial, Mechanical, Automotive, or Process Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in a similar position: 7 years in similar roles within the automotive or advanced manufacturing industry.
Technical knowledge required: Lean Six Sigma tools, manufacturing processes (line balancing, time and motion studies, Kanban, Kaizen, VSM, parts presentation, pull or one-piece flow, takt time, PDCA, A3 format, 7+1 wastes, SMED, visual management, Gemba walks). Plant Layouts, DMAIC Methodology (Statistical Process Control), Project Management, Improvement Idea Systems, Quality and Environmental Systems.
Other requirements: Microsoft Office, SAP, Promodel Simulator, AutoCad, SPS, IATF 16949.
Lean Manufacturing as Black Belt is desirable
English required: Conversational/Business.
