Live Ops Delivery Manager

We’re seeking a hands-on, adaptable Live Ops Delivery Manager to support a fast-moving specialist team, ensuring the seamless and high-quality delivery of live content to a global audience through a first-of-its-kind immersive media platform. This role blends technical understanding of video streaming with strong operational oversight, project management, and real-time incident coordination to maintain reliability at scale. You will work closely with the Delivery Lead and cross-functionally to ensure alignment, remove blockers, manage dependencies, and drive operational and delivery excellence across all live workflows.

Must Have

• Manage a team of Live Ops Support Engineers.
• Coordinate the team during live events, acting as the operational point of control.
• Implement and improve runbooks, workflows, and operational playbooks for live delivery.
• Monitor live operations in real-time to ensure stream stability, quality, and performance.
• Conduct pre-event checks with internal, client, and external partners.
• Coordinate and support troubleshooting during events.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of live streaming on the product application.
• Direct issue mitigation efforts during live events.
• Coordinate with engineering, client, and external partners technical teams for issue resolution.
• Ensure clear escalation paths, incident documentation, and post-mortem follow-up actions.
• Minimize downtime and mitigate risks impacting user experience or broadcast quality.
• Plan and manage operations tooling development.
• Track and manage dependencies across backend, product, design, and operations.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies for Live Ops-related work.

The Role:

We’re seeking a hands-on, adaptable Live Ops Delivery Manager to support a fast-moving specialist team, ensuring the seamless and high-quality delivery of live content to a global audience through a first-of-its-kind immersive media platform. This role blends technical understanding of video streaming with strong operational oversight, project management, and real-time incident coordination to maintain reliability at scale.

As a Delivery Manager, you will work closely with the Delivery Lead and you will work cross-functionally with the Backend Technical Lead, Backend Delivery Manager, Head of Tech, Head of Product and Head of Operations, to ensure alignment, remove blockers, manage dependencies, and drive operational and delivery excellence across all live workflows.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

• Team Management: Manage a team of Live Ops Support Engineers, coordinate the team during live events, acting as the operational point of control. Implement and improve runbooks, workflows, and operational playbooks for live delivery.
• Live Operations Management: Monitor live operations in real-time to ensure stream stability, quality, and performance, through pre-event checks (check readiness before each event - technical checks, content checks, resource alignment) with internal, client and external partners, and coordinating/supporting troubleshooting during events. Oversee end-to-end delivery of live streaming on the product application.
• Incident Management: Directing issue mitigation efforts during live events, coordinating with engineering, client and external partners technical teams when issues arise to quickly resolve problems and restore the customer experience with minimal disruption. Ensure clear escalation paths, incident documentation, and post-mortem follow-up actions. Minimize downtime and mitigate risks impacting user experience or broadcast quality.

Delivery and Project Management: Plan and manage operations tooling development. Track and manage dependencies across backend, product, design, and operations. Facilitate agile ceremonies for Live Ops-related work.
