Who will you be working with?
Our dynamic Logistics and Financial Analysis team is a critical component of Wabtec's North American operations. This team combines strategic financial expertise with deep logistics knowledge to drive cost optimization and operational efficiency across multiple business units. You'll collaborate closely with site leaders, business unit managers, and third-party logistics providers to deliver comprehensive financial insights and support.
How will you make a difference?
As a Logistics Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for driving financial performance and operational excellence across Wabtec's North American locations. You'll play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies, conducting detailed financial analyses, and supporting budget planning processes. Your work will directly impact the company's bottom line by optimizing logistics spending, improving carrier performance, and developing innovative solutions to complex operational challenges.
What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or similar financial analysis role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
- Proven experience in domestic and international logistics procurement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with air, truck, parcel, and ocean freight logistics
- Knowledge of border drayage operations (Mexico/Canada preferred)
What will your typical day look like?
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis across NAM locations
- Track and record monthly savings by mode and business unit
- Perform forecast alignment calls with site leaders
- Develop and implement cost-saving projects
- Manage relationships with 3PL providers
- Evaluate carrier performance across transportation modes
- Resolve daily logistics challenges
- Prepare financial reports and presentations

- Primarily sedentary work in an office environment
- Occasional travel may be required (up to 10-15%)
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project periods
- Comfortable working with computer and telecommunications equipment
