Job Summary
We are the System Intelligent and Machine Learning (SIML) group at Apple, focused on building the best ecosystem for ML R&D engineers. We develop tools to facilitate the development and collaboration of ML models, and manage resources like training compute and disk footprint. This role involves improving resource management from technical and policy standpoints, influencing company-wide aspects, and has significant cross-functional exposure. You will contribute to enhancing tools that support our policy initiatives across various engineering teams.
Must Have
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Skilled in leading infrastructure strategy for scalable ML systems
- Proficient in Python and/or C++
- Experience in engineering resource management
- Experience in software automation
- Understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts
Good to Have
- Proven organizational skills for durable processes
- Experience in web development
- Deep curiosity in ML workloads and models for resource assessment

Job Description

- Deep curiosity in what ML workloads and ML models do, in order to be able to assess them and the associated resource requirements
