We are looking for a Manager of Accounting to join our Consolidations team under Corporate Finance. In this role, you will be managing the consolidation of financials across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate policies and GAAP. Key responsibilities include coordinating the consolidation process, preparing and reviewing consolidated financial reports, and supporting certain SEC reporting requirements. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Consolidations and requires technical expertise, attention to detail, leadership skills, and collaboration across teams in a fast-paced environment!
Must have:
  • Lead the monthly global consolidation process, including review of consolidation journal entries.
  • Serve as an expert user and administrator of the Company’s financial consolidated system, assist with system testing and upgrades.
  • Review consolidated financial reporting packages prepared for Investor Relations and Senior Management, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the accounting and reporting for our philanthropic trust, The Hasbro Children’s Fund.
  • Provide critical support and analysis to executive management by investigating key accounting issues and developing recommendations.
  • Partner with our various business divisions to assist with accounting questions.
  • Act as a key liaison to the external auditors to facilitate an efficient audit process.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders to provide timely guidance on accounting matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement in consolidation processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Complete ad hoc projects assigned by senior management, including analysis of business operations, proposed accounting treatment, or other accounting and finance-related matters.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility.
  • A minimum of 5 years of public accounting.
  • Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.
  • Reviews performance and progress on a regular basis to ensure the team is achieving results.
  • Demonstrated success in the development of staff and others toward improved skills, independence, and self-initiative.
  • Ability to earn trust and credibility within the organization, and capable of developing effective business relationships with all members of the company’s senior leadership team.
Good to have:
  • Big 4 experience preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.

Would you like to use your finance experience in a highly visible role to make a difference? We are looking for a Manager of Accounting to join our Consolidations team under Corporate Finance! In this role, you will be managing the consolidation of financials across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate policies and GAAP. This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to work onsite in our Pawtucket, RI office 3 days per week.

A day in the life of the Manager of Accounting

What you’ll Bring:

The base salary range for this position is $110,600.00 to $166,000.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
