The Analytics Insights team is seeking a skilled individual to lead a team of Data Analysts embedded within our partner game studios. Your mission is to deliver game-critical analyses and reports to our studio partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to investigate topics related to player experience, game performance, systems tuning, and overall business strategy.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and lead a team of data analysts.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of dashboards and reports that analyze key studio operation and performance metrics.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data and deliverables completed by the team.
  • Apply analyses and studies prepared by the team to improve long-term decision-making.
  • Deliver presentations on analytic topics and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated data expert who can effectively lead a team of analysts to help deliver insights and recommendations to the business. Your success will be reflected by:

  • Demonstrated business impact, with a focus on player engagement and player experience.
  • Clear, concise, and data-driven insights leading to the optimization of game systems.
  • Building trust and fostering relationships and communication between the studios, leadership, and other live services cross-functional teams. As the team manager, you will be a conduit of knowledge to and from Global Analytics.

Player Skills:

  • Educational Background: BA/BS degree required with a technical focus (e.g., data analytics, data science, statistics, economics, mathematics).
  • Experience: 7 - 10 years of experience in the field of data analytics, data science, or a related domain.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with 2+ years of experience leading a team of 3 or more Analysts or Data Scientists.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL skills along with experience using R or Python for data analysis.
  • Storytelling Ability: Skilled at deriving narratives from data and telling convincing stories.
  • Industry Experience: Gameplay analysis experience is a plus, with a solid understanding of user engagement and monetization strategies in gaming, entertainment, e-commerce service providers, or mobile apps.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $111,780.00 - $206,882.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
