Manager, Trading

As a Manager, Sports Trading at DraftKings, you will lead the in-play trading experience, driving real-time engagement across the sportsbook. You will manage a team responsible for live pricing, risk decisions, and content uptime in high-velocity sports markets. This role involves ensuring pricing accuracy, optimizing customer experience, identifying market inefficiencies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance tooling and pricing models. You will also monitor KPIs and represent the live trading team in strategic discussions.

Must Have

• Lead day-to-day operations of in-play trading across multiple sports.
• Manage and develop a team of live traders and team leads.
• Identify market inefficiencies or anomalies in live pricing and implement real-time risk adjustments.
• Collaborate across teams to support tooling enhancements, automation rollouts, and pricing model improvements.
• Provide feedback to improve live trading processes and product features.
• Maintain consistent live market coverage and delivery across all platforms.
• Monitor live trading KPIs and produce regular performance updates.
• Represent the live trading team in cross-functional discussions.
• At least 4 years of experience in sports trading, including team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of live betting mechanics, market creation, and pricing strategies.
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to make fast, high-stakes decisions under pressure.
• Strong data mindset with the ability to translate insights into operational actions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and major sporting events as required.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools is a plus.

What you’ll do as a Manager, Sports Trading

• Lead day-to-day operations of in-play trading across multiple sports, ensuring pricing accuracy, content uptime, and optimal customer experience.
• Manage and develop a team of live traders and team leads, with a focus on performance, scheduling, and growth.
• Identify market inefficiencies or anomalies in live pricing and implement real-time risk adjustments.
• Collaborate across teams to support tooling enhancements, automation rollouts, and pricing model improvements.
• Provide feedback to improve live trading processes and product features, ensuring alignment with sportsbook goals.
• Maintain consistent live market coverage and delivery across all platforms and partner integrations.
• Monitor live trading KPIs and produce regular performance updates for leadership and stakeholders.
• Represent the live trading team in cross-functional discussions, partnering with Analytics, Product, and Customer Experience.
