Job Description

As a member of the Finance team in the Costs and Administrative Accounting area, in the position of Manufacturing and Doors Operations Manager, your main responsibilities will be to obtain production, productivity, and profitability results to achieve the objectives established in the sale of manufacturing and door products, collaborating with other areas to meet safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery standards. This position will report directly to the Operations Management of Wabtec de México and WGS.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Define, monitor, and update production plans.
  • Review production orders.
  • Monitor achievement of expected production targets.
  • Attend and effectively participate in work meetings.
  • Monitor employee attendance and overtime.
  • Effectively manage production line productivity and efficiency indices.
  • Monitor sales progress against sales forecast.
  • Create business sales indicators with budget and forecast.
  • Indicators on on-time deliveries, quality, and resource investment.
  • Calculate EBIT (Earnings Before Interest and Taxes) for your production line.
  • Manage production line efficiency and settlement.
  • Organize and manage resources to meet customer demand.
  • Create a foresight plan coordinating involved resources.
  • Monitor and supervise daily activities in the area.
  • Monitor and coordinate with the team, addressing extraordinary situations.
  • Solve line problems to meet quality standards.

Who will you work with?

At Wabtec de México, Industrial Zone of San Luis Potosí, we are leaders in the production of pneumatic brake equipment, supplying a market of 45,000 railroad cars per year; under a maquiladora company work scheme, our annual exports are equivalent to an estimated 3,250 million pesos only in the state of San Luis Potosí.

Since 1869, Wabtec has continuously led the industry, constantly improving its design to meet safety and efficiency needs in the railway sector. As market leaders, 6 out of 10 freight railroad cars built in Mexico, the United States, and Canada have Wabtec air brake systems proudly manufactured from San Luis Potosí.

How will you make a difference?

  • Effective management of production line productivity and efficiency indices.
  • Monitoring sales progress with respect to the sales forecast.
  • Creating indicators on business sales along with budget and forecast.
  • Indicators on on-time deliveries, quality, and resource investment.
  • Creating an EBIT (Earnings Before Taxes) indicator for your production line.
  • Management of the efficiency and settlement of the production line.
  • Organizing and managing resources to meet customer demand.

What about the physical demands of the job?

The work is mainly carried out in a safe office and work area environment, having continuous interaction with the production areas to ensure understanding of operational requirements, for which basic safety equipment must be used.
