Job Description

You will join the leadership team at Stemmann Polska plant in Kąty Wrocławskie, leading a large team of over 100 production employees (welders, locksmiths, assemblers). This role involves overseeing welding and assembly operations, ensuring timely and high-quality order fulfillment. You will drive operational excellence, implement lean manufacturing practices, optimize production processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives for electromechanical products like slip rings and pantographs. Key responsibilities include training new employees and reinforcing a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Must Have:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of welding and assembly processes
  • Familiarity with quality standards and production documentation (SPC, FMEA, Control Plan)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and dimensional tolerances
  • Experience with internal audits and implementing corrective actions
  • Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with proven team leadership and motivation capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and make timely decisions in a production environment
  • English language proficiency (minimum B2 level)
  • Supervise a team of production employees, including welders, locksmiths, and assemblers
  • Plan, coordinate, and optimize make-to-order production processes in line with the production schedule
  • Implement and enforce company quality standards
  • Ensure timely and efficient order completion with high quality
  • Collaborate closely with quality, planning, logistics, and maintenance teams
  • Monitor and report key production KPIs (OEE, scrap rate, efficiency)
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, 5S)
  • Train new employees and conduct regular team evaluations
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, work discipline, and operational procedures

Who will you be working with?

You will join the leadership team at Stemmann Polska plant in Kąty Wrocławskie which is undergoing significant growth. You will lead a large team of welders, locksmiths, and assemblers, working closely with departments such as Quality, Planning, Logistics, and Maintenance. This role is central to driving operational excellence and implementing lean manufacturing practices in the production of electromechanical products like slip rings and pantographs.

How will you make a difference?

As a Production Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of over 100 production employees. You will oversee welding and assembly operations, ensuring timely and high-quality order fulfillment. Your leadership will be key in implementing lean manufacturing techniques, optimizing production processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play a critical role in training new employees and reinforcing a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of welding and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and production documentation (SPC, FMEA, Control Plan).

  • Ensure timely and efficient order completion with high quality.
  • Collaborate closely with quality, planning, logistics, and maintenance teams.
  • Monitor and report key production KPIs (OEE, scrap rate, efficiency).
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, 5S).
  • Train new employees and conduct regular team evaluations.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, work discipline, and operational procedures.
  • Travel occasionally (approx. 15%).
