Job Description

As an Inventory & Materials Process Excellence Leader at Wabtec's LKZ plant, you will optimize inventory management and materials flow. This role involves developing and implementing best practices for inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and warehouse efficiency. You will drive continuous improvement in materials handling, storage, and replenishment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align inventory strategies with production and sourcing plans, ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency. You will also analyze data, ensure compliance, and support ERP system enhancements.

Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management, materials planning, or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, 1C, or similar) and advanced Excel/data analysis tools.
  • Fluent in English (writing, reading, speaking, listening).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of lean principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks.
  • Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan is required.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize inventory management and materials flow across LKZ operations.

  • Support ERP system enhancements and data integrity related to inventory and materials transactions.
  • Monitor and report key inventory KPIs including inventory forecast, turns, and obsolescence.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for inventory discrepancies and material flow disruptions.

Who will you be working with?

You will be part of the dynamic and collaborative Direct sourcing team at LKZ plant, a key function supporting Wabtec’s manufacturing operations. Our team is dedicated to ensuring seamless material flow, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Sourcing, Quality, and IT to drive impactful improvements in procurement processes.
