Job Description

This role is responsible for collecting, interpreting, and forecasting regional market access policies in the healthcare industry, analyzing their impact on business. You will maintain relationships with key government departments and industry associations, provide policy recommendations, and offer strategic insights internally. Collaborating with business teams, you will develop and implement market access plans to enhance the accessibility of innovative technologies for patients, ensuring the effective use of health technology assessment evidence. The role also involves closely monitoring policy dynamics and managing associated risks.

Job Details

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting market access policies related to the healthcare industry, interpreting and forecasting the development direction of regional market access policies, and researching and analyzing their impact on regional business;
  • Closely following up and maintaining organizational relationships with provincial and key municipal medical security bureaus, centralized procurement centers, market supervision administrations (including drug administration), and other government departments related to market access, key industry associations (societies), and professional research institutions;
  • Providing valuable policy recommendations to the industry, and offering professional insights, suggestions, and strategies on market access policies internally;
  • Assisting the business team in formulating and executing business development plans from a market access perspective, combined with the company's business situation, to promote the coverage of innovative technologies to more patients;
  • Collaborating with business teams and cross-functional departments to develop market access plans for regional markets, actively organizing and promoting relevant market access projects to achieve and improve the accessibility of innovative technologies;
  • Promoting the reasonable and effective use of health technology assessment (including health economics) evidence for innovative technologies from the perspective of market access policies;
  • Closely monitoring industry market access policy dynamics and measures, promptly identifying relevant risks, and effectively managing risk;

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities, skills, and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or above (majors in Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, Public Health Management, Biomedical Engineering, Health Economics are preferred);
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in market access in the healthcare industry (experience in market access across multiple fields such as pharmaceuticals, consumables, in-vitro diagnostic reagents, and equipment is preferred);
  • Familiar with the regional market access policy environment, with rich experience in market access policies and practices;
  • Able to efficiently build an organizational relationship platform network for regional market access;
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills, able to efficiently promote project execution and implementation;
  • Integrity, adherence to principles, continuous learning, high policy sensitivity, able to actively respond to changes and challenges.
