Job Description

You are responsible for a smooth flow of materials backwards in the supply chain and facilitate appropriate decision-making across different levels in the supply chain regarding non-conformities of purchased parts. You will lead the non-conformity board, analyze throughput times and bottlenecks, report progress, identify roadblocks, and provide solutions. You will also monitor supplier quality levels and challenge procurement for preventive measures, working cross-functionally and having autonomy to shape your role.
Must Have:
  • Keeping track of alignment between non-conformity reports and qualitative data
  • Analyzing backward material flow and provide solutions to improve this process
  • Secure and monitor that complete data is within the non-conformance data system
  • Provide overall feedback to SPM and management on quality
  • Advice the incoming goods inspection about frequency of inspection
  • MBO -4 / HBO education level
  • Min 3 years of working experience in a supply chain/ quality or procurement environment
  • Strong communicator in Dutch and English
  • Strong at analyzing data
  • Able to understand technical stories/issues at shop floor and convert into a management summary

You are responsible for a smooth flow of materials backwards in the supply chain and facilitate appropriate decision-making across different levels in the supply chain regarding non-conformities of purchased parts.

About your future job

At the start of the week you set up and lead the non-conformity board. You invite several stakeholders and discuss the non- conforming materials that are in disposition in that week. You engage the people to take appropriate action to find a solution for the non-conformity that takes into account the total cost of ownership for Thales.

In your dashboard you can analyze the different throughput times and bottlenecks in the production process related to materials that are in disposition. This will help you in prioritizing resources and ask the required level of commitment, from the workforce but also from management to tackle cases that may vary in complexity.

You report the progress, are able to identify roadblocks along the way en can provide solutions that all contribute in a smooth flow of materials backwards in the supply chain. You develop a feeling on the quality levels of our suppliers and can challenge the procurement organization in taking preventive measures towards suppliers. You do this by collecting feedback from the quality, procurement and production department and by closely monitoring the non-conformities.

The role is interesting because you have a cross-functional role and team up with multiple disciplines. You have the autonomy to shape your role on the job and come with continuous improvements.

We are in search for a colleague who has:

  • MBO -4 / HBO
  • Min 3 years of working experience in a supply chain/ quality or procurement environment
  • Strong communicator in Dutch and English. He/she should be able to connect to people at the shop floor, SC MT, engineering department, quality and levels in between. Also, he/she should be able to address it with co-workers when actions within the non-conformity process take too long. Strong at analyzing data, able to understand a technical stories / issues at shop floor and convert into a management summary.
