Job Summary

As an Animator, you'll be animating a wide range of compelling characters that support an epic gameplay and cinematic experience. You'll be collaborating with other animators, artists, designers and engineers to help bring these characters to life. Responsibilities include collaborating with freelance animators, animating and testing in-game assets, bringing bipedal and quadrupedal characters to life, integrating animation assets, iterating based on feedback, troubleshooting problems, providing rigging notes, and helping create animation tools. Senior animators will also mentor and set animation quality standards.

Must Have

  • Collaborate with freelance animators to improve quality and meet deadlines
  • Animate and test in-game assets for gameplay and cinematics
  • Bring to life bipedal and quadrupedal characters
  • Work with leads and engineers to integrate animation assets into the engine
  • Receive feedback and iterate on animations
  • Help identify and troubleshoot potential in-game problems
  • Provide rigging notes to the technical team
  • Help create tools for animation
  • Solid experience as animator
  • Proficiency in Maya or equivalent programs
  • Proficiency with Unreal, Unity or Proprietary Engines for animation integration
  • Proficiency in keyframed animations at a AAA level
  • Experience with motion capture data
  • Experience with prototype / quick iteration environments
  • Experience with combat / AI animation systems/locomotion systems
  • Experience with 2D animation (Spine 2D, Unity Animator)

Technical Requirements

  • Solid experience as animator
  • Proficiency in Maya or equivalent programs
  • Proficiency with Unreal, Unity or Proprietary Engines to integrate animations
  • Proficiency in keyframed animations at a AAA level
  • Experience with motion capture data
  • Experience with prototype / quick iteration environments
  • Experience with combat / AI animation systems/locomotion systems
  • Experience with 2D animation guided by constraints and rigs, though software like Spine 2D and standard 2D animation engine tools like Unity Animator.
