Middle Java Engineer

N-iX is seeking a Middle Java Engineer for a global fashion group, one of the world's largest fashion retailers. The role involves researching technical options, writing quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage, providing effort estimations, and collaborating closely with team members and project stakeholders. The engineer will also suggest technical and functional improvements to enhance the product, focusing on team results and continuous improvement within an Agile environment.

Must Have

• 3+ years of extensive Java development, Maven
• 2 years of Spring framework and building Spring web applications
• Understanding and experience in developing and deploying microservices
• Experience developing REST interfaces, OpenAPI
• Excellent design, coding and debugging skills
• Proficiency in OOP, OOD, DDD, and Design Patterns
• Working knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL technologies like MongoDB
• Working knowledge of IBM MQ, Kafka, Kafka streaming
• Familiarity with GrayLog, Grafana
• Working knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes
• Working experience in an Agile environment with a clear understanding of Agile methodologies
• Upper-Intermediate/Advanced English level
• Advanced or higher Ukrainian level

Requirements:

• 3+ years of extensive Java development, Maven

Responsibilities:

• Research and evaluate technical options to implement business requirements
• Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment
• Provide effort estimations
• Work in close contact with team members and project stakeholders (Product Owner) on the customer’s site
• Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product
• Excellent communication, organizational, and facilitation skills, product-oriented mindset, focus on team results, willingness to continuous personal and team improvements, leadership qualities, and resilience.
• Upper-Intermediate/Advanced English level (there will be a lot of communication with the client)
• Ukrainian – Advanced or higher
