Job Summary
The Streaming Media Production Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering live corporate webcasts and on-demand streaming content for a global audience. This role requires a deep understanding of broadcast and streaming technologies, excellent project management abilities, and the ability to perform under pressure in a live production environment. Key responsibilities include producing and directing live corporate meetings, managing broadcast transmissions, operating and troubleshooting video systems, and coordinating media infrastructure.
Must Have
- Develop, produce, and direct live corporate-wide meetings and events via webcast and on-demand platforms.
- Manage and monitor broadcast transmissions, ensuring high-quality signal transport for audio and video.
- Operate and troubleshoot video switching systems, encoders, and telepresence systems during live events.
- Manage video and audio routing systems; diagnose and resolve technical issues in real-time.
- Coordinate and finalize URLs for live and on-demand events, including page design and notification logistics.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of all software platforms used within dealer and field training.
- Archive, organize, and track media assets to ensure accessibility and version control.
- Apply project management best practices to oversee timelines, deliverables, and scope changes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to execute seamless productions.
- Install, maintain, and repair audio and video equipment as required.
- 5+ years of experience in live video production, broadcast operations, or corporate communications.
- Strong understanding of streaming media technologies and live event production.
- Proficiency with video switching, encoding, and signal transport systems.
- Advanced computer literacy, including familiarity with webcasting platforms and media management software.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in high-pressure environments.
- Proven project management skills and familiarity with best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative work style and proactive mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Video Production, Communications, Journalism or Network Engineering.
Good to Have
- Experience working in large enterprise or automotive industry environments.
- Experience with telepresence systems and training-classroom AV setups.

Position Overview
The Streaming Media Production Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering live corporate webcasts and on-demand streaming content for a global audience of employees and dealers. This role requires a deep understanding of broadcast and streaming technologies, excellent project management abilities, and the ability to perform under pressure in a live production environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, produce, and direct live corporate-wide meetings and events delivered via webcast and on-demand platforms
- Serve as a front-line liaison with internal clients, dealer and field training departments, GM Communications, suppliers, and external vendors
- Manage and monitor broadcast transmissions, ensuring high-quality signal transport for audio and video
- Operate and troubleshoot video switching systems, encoders, and telepresence systems during live events
- Manage video and audio routing systems; diagnose and resolve technical issues in real-time
- Oversee network installations, upgrades, and maintenance related to media infrastructure
- Coordinate and finalize URLs for live and on-demand events, including page design and notification logistics
- Review and edit dealer and field communications to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of all software platforms used within dealer and field training; provide troubleshooting and support as needed
- Archive, organize, and track media assets to ensure accessibility and version control.
- Apply project management best practices to oversee timelines, deliverables, and scope changes; proactively address risks and develop contingency plans
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to execute seamless productions
- Install, maintain, and repair audio and video equipment as required

Required Skillsets
- In Office – Detroit, Michigan
- 5+ years of experience in live video production, broadcast operations, or corporate communications
- Experience working in large enterprise or automotive industry environments a plus
- Strong understanding of streaming media technologies and live event production
- Proficiency with video switching, encoding, and signal transport systems
- Advanced computer literacy, including familiarity with webcasting platforms and media management software
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in high-pressure environments
