Job Description

Proofpoint is seeking a high-performing Sales professional for their Named Account team, focusing on Enterprise Healthcare accounts (3000-50,000 mailboxes). The role involves managing 20-30 named healthcare accounts, including white space and existing customers. You will work with partners to access new accounts, while upselling and cross-selling existing ones. The goal is to enhance healthcare systems' security posture, selling the full Proofpoint Platform and expanding market leadership by protecting customers from advanced threats and targeted attacks.
Must Have:
  • Manage 20-30 named healthcare accounts.
  • Work with partner community to gain access to white space accounts.
  • Upsell and cross-sell existing customers.
  • Sell the full Proofpoint Platform.
  • Develop account plans and identify add-on opportunities.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Proofpoint platform value.
  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain engagement with existing accounts.
  • Meet and exceed revenue expectations.
  • Demonstrate value via quarterly Customer Business Reviews.
  • Strategically manage renewals and educate on Proofpoint Roadmap.
  • Organize business through accurate forecasting and Salesforce reporting.
  • Maintain high activity with customer and partner meetings, emphasizing executive selling.
  • Be a compelling presenter with curiosity for cybersecurity technology.
  • Organized and strategic through the entire sales process.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of field sales experience in complex cybersecurity solutions.
  • Existing background selling into healthcare systems, payors, or medical manufacturing.
  • Rolodex of existing relationships in major health systems in the territory.
  • Experience working with Channel Partners and selling via two-tier distribution.
  • Track record of developing complex, multi-product/multi-year proposals.
  • Ability to identify customer business drivers and use case/business value selling.
  • Ability to quarterback internal and external resources.
  • Must reside in WA, OR, or Boise, ID.

The Role and the Team

Department Overview:

  • Proofpoint is looking for a high performing Sales professional to join their Named Account team selling to Enterprise Healthcare accounts i.e. 3000 mailboxes to approx. 50,000 mailboxes.

Role Overview:

Manage 20 – 30 named healthcare accounts with a mix of white space and existing customers, work with our partner community to gain access to white space accounts while upselling and cross selling existing customers. Help healthcare systems approve their security posture enabling them to focus on improving their community’s overall wellbeing.

Sell the full Proofpoint Platform while working closely with internal and external ecosystem partners. In this role you will be able to expand the Proofpoint footprint as well as market leadership while assisting in protecting our customers from advanced threats and targeted attacks.

The Named Account Manager role reports to the Named Account Sales Leader.

Develop account plans for each of your named accounts and identify add on opportunities for incumbent book of business. Become a subject matter expert on the value the Proofpoint platform delivers and how we stack against the competition.

  • Continually educate yourself i.e. roadmap, new solutions, integrations and industry news and developments
  • Organize your business through accurate forecasting and maintaining a clean and clear Salesforce reporting
  • Be a team player and add to the overall success of the team through result driven activity

Job Requirements

The What:

  • Clearly develop and execute path to plan with focus on Forecast accuracy and SFDC hygiene
  • A passion for bringing value to customers with a focus on details and never give-up attitude
  • Maintain a high level of activity i.e. customer and partner meetings with emphasis on executive selling (CISO, CIO, CMO etc.)
  • Be a compelling presenter and have a genuine curiosity of cyber security technology
  • Organized and strategic through the entire sales process: prospecting to close and managing resources (internal and customer) throughout

The How:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of field sales experience selling complex cyber security solutions (or related field) managing medium and large accounts in the Healthcare space
  • Existing background selling into healthcare systems, payors, or medical manufacturing
  • Rolodex of existing relationships in major health systems in the territory
  • Demonstrable track record of success
  • Experience working with Channel Partners and selling via two tier distribution
  • Track record of developing complex, multi product/multiyear proposals
  • Engaged presentations focused on customer need while delivering overall solution value
  • Ability to Identify customer business drivers
  • Use case / business value selling
  • Ability to quarterback a multitude of internal and external resources while being in tune with the different personalities and competing priorities
  • Must reside in WA or OR or Boise, ID
