Job Summary
Dynamis is seeking a Junior Open-Source Intelligence Analyst to support Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Williston, VT and Santa Ana, CA. The role involves performing research and analysis on various data sources, screening and developing leads, identifying key targeting data, and ensuring data accuracy. Analysts will use digital methods for all-source and open-source research, assess publicly available information, exploit data, identify trends, and deliver timely intelligence. The position requires handling sensitive information within legal guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.
Must Have
- Perform research and analysis on myriad data sources
- Screen, prioritize, and develop leads on incoming cases
- Enter leads into leads management system
- Identify key targeting data (addresses, vehicles, employment, associates)
- Collect and include additional intelligence for officer/operational safety
- Ensure data fields are updated, accurate, and complete
- Attach pertinent photographs, reports, and correspondence
- Develop and/or enhance leads as directed by TOD staff
- Use digital methods for all source and open-source research and analysis
- Assess foreign and domestic-based, publicly available information
- Exploit data from specific sources and raw intelligence
- Identify trends, detect high-risk areas for weapons proliferation
- Deliver accurate, complete, and timely data to users
- Work with sensitive information within guidelines of statutes, regulations, and policies
- Obtain at least a Public Trust High adjudication
- Answer and track incoming phone calls, elicit details
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Review web tips received online
- Compare viable tips to existing information and process
- Analyze content of phone and web tips for ICE jurisdiction
- Perform research in sensitive, law enforcement, DHS, and open-source databases
- Accurately document information received from tipster
- Write detailed reports to document research results
- Identify appropriate field office for report dissemination
- Upload report into required database
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain ICE suitability (current ICE or DHS suitability preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in social media/open-source research, targeting, analysis; OR Associate’s degree and two years of experience; OR High school diploma/GED and three years of experience
- Provide support in accordance with NCATC duty hours (Mon-Fri 7:00 am to 6:30 pm ET) or PERC duty hours (24x7, 365 days/year)
- Work is mission essential and expected to continue during government shutdowns
- Telework and remote work not generally authorized

- Current or recent experience providing open-source analytical support for DHS or other US Government clients
- Watch Center or similar threat monitoring experience
- Federal law enforcement experience

Open-Source Intelligence Analyst
Dynamis is seeking a Junior Open-Source Intelligence Analyst to support Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Williston, VT and Santa Ana, CA by performing analysis of information sources to obtain real-time and mission critical person-specific information.
Responsibilities:
- Analysts will perform research and analysis on a myriad of data sources and initiate leads.
- Screen, prioritize, and develop leads on incoming cases.
- Enter leads into the leads management system of record.
- Identify key targeting data (e.g., addresses, vehicles, places of employment, associates, etc.); collect and include additional intelligence of value to officer and operational safety, pattern(s) of travel, and potential criminal activity/criminal indicators.
- Ensure data fields in the system of record are updated, accurate, and complete. Attach pertinent photographs, reports, and correspondence. Once entered, leads will be reviewed by PERC or NCATC federal staff for accuracy, quality, and completeness before disseminating them to ICE Field Offices.
- Develop and/or enhance leads as directed by TOD staff or according to established priorities.
- Use digital methods to conduct all source and open-source research and analysis on matters of national security in support of ongoing investigations.
- Assess foreign and domestic-based, publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address intelligence requirements.
- Exploit data from specific sources and raw intelligence and compile them to validate intelligence collection requirements.
- Identify trends, detect high-risk areas for weapons proliferation, and prioritize enforcement approaches by applying research and advanced analytics.
- Deliver accurate, complete, and timely data to users across the organization.
- Work with sensitive information within the guidelines of statutes, regulations, and policies governing the customer. As detailed in the Terms and Conditions, all personnel will be required to obtain at least a Public Trust High adjudication.
- Answer and track incoming phone calls and elicit details from the caller to identify possible allegations and specific actionable information.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Review web tips received online to identify possible allegations and specific actionable information.
- Compare viable tips to existing information and process as necessary.
- Analyze content of phone and web tips to determine if allegation is within ICE jurisdiction; as dictated by current procedure, policy, or instruction.
- Perform research in sensitive, law enforcement, DHS, and open-source databases to identify reported subjects, immigration status, and criminal history.
- Accurately document information received from a tipster and reference findings obtained from law enforcement or open-source systems.
- Write detailed reports to document research results, identify the appropriate field office for report dissemination and upload the report into the required database.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain ICE suitability (current ICE or DHS suitability is preferred).
- Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and one year of experience performing primarily social media, and open-source information research, targeting, and analysis; or,
- Associate’s degree and two years of experience performing primarily social media and open-source information research, targeting, and analysis; or,
- High school diploma or GED and three years of experience performing primarily social media and open-source information research, targeting, and analysis.
- Shall provide support in accordance with NCATC duty hours (i.e., Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 6:30 pm (Eastern Time) or PERC duty hours (24x7, 365 days per year).
- Work hours are to be aligned with the NCATC’s and PERC’s established hours.
- Work is deemed mission essential and will be expected to continue during government shutdowns.
- Telework and remote work are not generally authorized. However, in extenuating circumstances, telework and remote work may be authorized on a case-by-case basis with written telework authorization by the COR in accordance with agency policies.
Preferred:
- Current or recent experience providing open-source analytical support for DHS or other US Government clients
- Watch Center or similar threat monitoring experience
