Job Summary
Saxo Bank is seeking a Third-Party Risk & Artificial Intelligence Systems Specialist to join their Technology & Security Foundation team in Copenhagen, Denmark. This role is crucial for safeguarding operational resilience, ensuring third-party security and compliance, and supporting the adoption and scaling of AI across key processes. The specialist will manage vendor onboarding, conduct risk assessments, oversee compliance, and drive strategic initiatives related to AI and process optimization.
Must Have
- Support third-party onboarding processes, including criticality tiering, risk evaluation and documentation validation.
- Assess and ensure compliance with key regulatory frameworks (e.g. DORA, GDPR).
- Enhance oversight of third-party controls, performance and remediations.
- Use ServiceNow (or similar systems) to manage vendor assessments, workflows, records and tracking.
- Apply and grow knowledge in AI technologies & responsible AI principles to identify opportunities, risks and requirements for AI-related vendor services.
- Evaluate, propose and introduce AI driven optimizations across internal processes and systems.
- Contribute to shaping internal guidelines on AI procurement, controls and risk assessment.
- Lead and support cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, automation and maturity of third-party processes.
- Take ownership of new projects, particularly involving AI, process digitalization or regulatory adjustments.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and strengthen controls.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across internal networks, including Service Owners, Procurement, Legal, Security & Data, Risk Champions and other units.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing clarity, structure, and fact-based insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Support driving alignment and actions to ensure consistent communication and risk mitigation throughout the third-party lifecycle.

As we continue to strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated professional to join as a Third-Party Risk & Artificial Intelligence Systems Specialist - a pivotal role within our Technology & Security Foundation.
Our Technology & Security Foundation consists of several teams, with over 150 colleagues, where our mission is to safeguard our clients and from cyber threats and data breaches, ensuring compliance with overarching regulations.
You will be instrumental in safeguarding and scaling the operational resilience and ensuring that our third-party landscape meets the highest standards of security, compliance and risk management. Furthermore, you will support adopting and scaling artificial intelligence implementation across key processes. You will be at the intersection of technology, governance, and stakeholder collaboration, contributing both to daily operational tasks and to shaping new strategic initiatives.
The role will be based in HQ in Denmark, Copenhagen.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day will span a wide range of responsibilities: evaluating credibility of new vendors, introducing AI driven optimizations across processes and security enhancements, conducting risk assessments and driving mitigations, oversee vendor compliance in AML, sanctions, and financial crime, gathering insights across stakeholders, as well as ensuring wider network collaboration and knowledge share.
Ultimately, you’ll help ensure that our global third-party vendor landscape consistently meets our stringent security and compliance standards.
Vendor Onboarding, Risk & Security
- Support third-party onboarding processes, including criticality tiering, risk evaluation and documentation validation (e.g. security and compliance assessments, data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, AML).
- Assess and ensure compliance with key regulatory frameworks (e.g. DORA, GDPR).
- Enhance oversight of third-party controls, performance and remediations.

AI Governance & Enablement

Your Profile
You are a proactive, analytical, and structured individual motivated by problem-solving and contributing to safer and more efficient ways of working. Furthermore, you have a true interest in AI and technologies to optimize ways of working.
We would expect you can tick few items on the list:
- Interest and foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and governance. Practical experience in implementing AI driven solutions is appreciated.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management principles, information security, and regulatory frameworks. Experience with vendor risk assessment, third-party risk management or related compliance domains is appreciated.
- Applicable knowledge of secure development, cloud technologies or data governance concepts.
- Skills in ServiceNow or similar platforms – usability, enhancements, optimization.
- University degree (at minimum BSc, preferably MSc in Cybersecurity, IT, Law or related).
- Communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Fact-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
