Summary
CAE Defense and Security deliveries complex training solutions to a wide variety of military customers. These training solutions enable mission readiness and improves the overall safe execution of complex military operations. The training solutions replicate with exceptional fidelity operation of high technology equipment interacting in a virtual environment indistinguishable from real world operations. The US Operational Excellence Analyst will work directly with the Director, Operational Excellence in support of program training solutions across the enterprise.
Support program risk exposure data analytics and categorization through initial and follow on assessments in conjunction with the Director, Operational Excellence, program management and other program staff across the enterprise. Ensure programs with higher risk ratings are performing scheduled reviews with escalating levels of management according to risk category. Ensure that programs are performing regular Risk & Opportunity reviews and documenting Risk as required by the risk and opportunity management process. Attend and assist with risk & program reviews as needed. Enhance program reporting, analytics, and tools to enable a more efficient program management process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work with Director, Operational Excellence to assess, develop, and enhance program management tools & data analytics to include dashboard creation.
Support the Director, Operational Excellence in the planning, coordination, execution and reporting progress of the Operational Excellence Improvement Plan
Facilitate the risk categorization and tiering of the US portfolio of programs
Coordinate with the Director, Operational Excellence & Program Management to assess each program across risk categories such as technical, financial, schedule, contractual, and supply chain
Ensure that programs with higher risk scores are being reviewed with appropriate levels of management as needed
Screen & report on the portfolio of programs for changes to risk profile as conditions change across the program lifecycle
Attend and contribute to Program & Risk management reviews with Director, Operational Excellence on an ongoing basis
Identify areas for process improvement to include improvement of metrics, and data analysis and dashboards.
Assist with Program Gate reviews to ensure risk mitigation and program planning is sufficient to delivery within the financial and schedule constraints of the program.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline and a minimum of six years’ experience in aerospace and defense systems or program environment
Preferred Skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
Managing data in a shared environment such as Teams or SharePoint
Ease at managing schedule conflicts for senior levels of management
Dashboard creation and data analytics
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
